Just wanted to take a Minute to thanks everyone who participates here, It means a lot. I truly loved Stargate SG1 and Stargate Atlantis. Stargate Universe is good, but not up to the same caliber as the other two so far. But as a whole I love the series, which is why I keep this board. And I appreciate everyone who contributes to make this site as great as it is. So with that I thought I would give a short history of how we got here.

This forum Started back in 2005 on EZboard by a young girl who called herself Col Carter. At that time there was about 20 members, about 4 of which were active on the board. These where Col Carter, My Self, Anissa T, and Angelica Constantine.

Early 2006 we talked about creating a new site that we could market better and have more control of. So with my funding and Col Carter's existing board, we set forth to create a new one. This lead to the creation of http://www.stargateforum.net . The site went live back in June of 2006, and had two admins. Col Carter and My Self. Anissa T and Angelica Constantine were moderators.

Early in 2007 Col Carter left the board for personal reasons, but retained her admin status. Col Carter returned in the fall of 2007, but with in a month Col Carter left again this time permanently. Lots of reasons surfaced why, but in the end I feel it was just creative differences.

In the early days this was more of a christian Stargate board, but over time the board has changed and evolved into more of a scifi board. The religion aspect has largely gone to the wayside, but still holds to it's family values. Which I believe is what made Stargate so great.

With Carter being gone from the board, It became evident very quickly that I needed another admin. With Angelica's recommendation, Anissa T was promoted to Admin status. This was one of smartest things I ever did on the board. With Anissa T now an admin, a few new people were promoted to moderators, and Angelica Constantine was made a super moderator. This was a real turning point for the board, and from here the board took off.

I'm not sure on the date and hopefully Angelica will let me know. Due to her outstanding work and time on the board she was promoted to admin. When I say time on the board, I mean actual time on the board. I do not believe there is anyone who spends as much time as her on this board. When things go wrong or there are posts that need to be fixed or removed. She is almost always the first to see them. Again another one of my few smart moves.

By the end of 2008 I have found my self frequenting the site less and less due to a hectic work schedule. At that time Anissa and Angelica were given full control of the site to keep it running. From that time on those two gals have kept this site running like a well oiled machine.

In the last couple of years there has been new additions to the staff, who have done some amazing stuff here. Because of all these people this site has grown tremendously from it's early days. With members from all over the world, and of all ages.

So just a brief history of the board. If anyone has some corrections to this, please let me know.
