Chapter 1
Daniel stands still a bit as he went up to the SGA command center. He figures that he'd see how things were going here at this end while Sam, Mitchell and Teal'c help train the new SG teams assigned to Atlantis for the time being. Some of these SG teams will be sent to Earth to fight the Ori. The Ori is now on Chulak fighting the Jaffa. Several Langarain groups were sent to Chulak to help with help of several Azgard ships. Daniel thinks a bit as he enters the control room.
"Doctor Jackson," replies Weir in her dignified voice. "So what brings you here?"
"I was just checking in, seeing if there's good news. I found out something about Merlin, one of his students built a device that might help us find Merlin's weapon. I also found that the device is located on a planet near here. I'm not sure if you've explored it yet, so here it is." He says as he hands Weir a piece of paper.
"Umm no we haven't," replies Weir as she looks down at the paper. "I don't think we have, umm Sheppard, have we been here before?"
John enters the room, looks at the piece of paper and thinks a bit about it.
"No, I don't think, we did. Why?"
"Umm Daniel thinks that a important device is located on this planet and wants to see if it's true."
"Well, OK, then lets go."
"OK, well, I'll send you, Daniel, Teyla, Beckett and a few others to see if this device is anything useful."
John and Daniel head to the briefing room. Weir explains to them that they will go to a forest like planet which has no visible life signs yet. The Stargate opens and they head off not sure if the Ori or the Wraith are there on the same planet. Beckett steps through first followed by McKay, John, Daniel, and seven other soldiers.
Amanda follows the others as they look about their new surroundings which consist of tall trees, rocks and beautiful light blue sky.
"OK, this is weird, so where do we go from here?" she asks the others.
"Well," replies Daniel as he looks about, "Uh-huh," he says as he spots a path leading from the gate straight into the trees.
"Great, why am I here?"
"Cause if one of us gets shoot then the others will need medical support. And besides Weir told you to go with us, so you go."
Beckett takes a deep breath as he follows Daniel down the path.
"Carson, you OK?" asks Amanda as she walks alongside him.
"I'm fine, umm I guess...." he replies with a slight smile. He knows Amanda somewhat. They've meet a few days ago. They've spoken on a few occasions. Mostly they talked about home and other things. He feels somewhat calm around her.
"Cool, umm so I was wondering if you're not busy Friday, if you and I can talk a bit just for some alone time."
"Yea, that would be nice."
Daniel walks a few feet before something tries to grab him from beneath him. He takes a deep breath as he quickly falls through a hole and into a deeo dark cave. John and the others watch as the thing drops to the floor and crawl away. The others decide to jump into the cave hoping to save Daniel before the creature does anything bad to him. John fires his weapon at the place where the creature was last seen.
Daniel tries to stand up as the others try to see what's inside the dark cave. Beckett asks if he's OK, Daniel nods a bit before noticing a door just ahead of him. He motions for the others to the door. Sheppard and two other soldiers prepared weapons as John tried to open the door with some ease. The door cracks after Sheppard uses the butt of his gun to get in. He prepares to fire as the door smashes onto the floor. He stands still in the doorway. He rushes in, not sure what to expect as he went. He pauses to find himself standing inside a large factory. He looks back at Daniel and the others as they entered the room.
