THAT WAS AWESOME!!!
That was like the absolute best episode in a long time!!!!!!!! I LOVED IT!!!! Oh they need to team SG-1 up with Atlantis more often!!!!! SOOOOOOO COOOOOOL!!!!
Not to mention it's given me some new ideas for my story "Star Child."
This may be my second favorite episode ever! Second after "Fire and Water" from season 1. Oh such a great episode!!!
Daniel's little speech at the end about them being on their own - I do wonder if that's true or not. I wonder if maybe those small number of Ancients didn't in fact step in and help them there at the end because it all just seemed to be so coincidental for them to have pulled that off all on their own like that. Guess they could, but it makes me wonder.
GREAT EPISODE!!!

Looking at the preveiw, I thought "Great, another atlantis crossover. Well this is gonna suck..."
Little did I know XD
So yes, I was quite amazed by how this episode was awsome :p
Though I still hope they dont do any more crossovers. They tend to be bad and confusing in timelines <,<
And um... That end move has just reached the top of my list. I mean, Come ON!
Double nuking a wraith hive ship as it passes the stargate at EXTREMELEY high speeds from the gravity slingshot, which in TURN activated the supergates and saws through the ori ship as the supergate forms.
Totaly. Kick. ***.
And I dont think anything can touch it for many years :p
But I never know...
As for the ancient thing.... Well, the ancients are jerks. XD

Funny thing is, when I saw that ending I was thinking, "Dracus is gonna be loving this!" Guess I was right. It was very cool.
As for the ancient thing.... Well, the ancients are jerks. XD
Except for the few who help them out, like Morgan Le Fey. What I think is extrodinarily annoying is that it looks like it'll be several episodes before they check out those two planets.

I really liked the episwode. I was loving the interaction between Sam and Rodney. I also thought it was particularly humerous when Cam pulled out the lemon.
But, I think I liked the interaction with Daniel and the Ancient. Way to put them in the moral spotlight. You go Daniel. I also like that she mentioned him beign ascended. I'm surpised Daniel didn't have a bigger reaction over that.

I liked Daniel's reaction to her saying that. She seemed to be talking about what he was like when he was ascended and I thought his face expression showed the right reaction of surprise and intrigue. I think he felt a little speechless.
But I did love seeing his reaction to her.
Another thought I had when watching... is it just me, or does Vala come across like Daniel's pet? I think about how I treat my dog and when my dog tries going off in a direction I don't want her to, I pull her back in the right direction.
I also felt confused by Daniel's comments as they flew into Atlantis. Initially I thought they were just dropping off supplies and leaving thus I could understand his disappointment, but then he was in Atlantis and I couldn't figure out what his gripe earlier was all about.

I like the episode. In fact I agree with Carter in that this has to be one of the better ones. The best quote was when Rodney was telling Sam about him being stuck under water, and her there helping. Sam replies was I naked and she just shakes her head. But then she had a little smile, almost as she was a bit flattered by the whole thing.
I agree with Dracus on the ending. That was incredible piece of writing. Who ever thought that up - Kudos

I cringed when McKay started telling Sam about his hallucination. The guy has not tact whatsoever. I'm sorry, but if I had had a hallucination like that about someone I knew, I would never in a million years tell them, not unless I married them or something. :p

While I initially cringed. However, I did find that scene a bit humerous even though Rodney told her she was naked.

I got a chance to rewatch this today and decided the whole destruction of the Ori and Wraith ship was awesome. Not sure if I had mentioned that previously. Although, I'm still not sure I know exactly what the science behidn it was. LOL!

I actually had some problems with this episode.
I loved the fact that we got to see an ancient. I liked the entire scene in fact. And there were other parts in which I definately liked the episode.
But I had a really big problem with the dialogue, particularly for McKay's character. To me, he came off as a really big jerk. Now I know he can be jerky, but this was like "I'm just going to be a real ***" kinda way. It probably had to do with the fact that McKay's writer wasn't involved, but I found myself cringing everytime he talked.
I also found the short dialogue between Sheppard and Mitchell to be a little corny. The lemon thing was cute, but other than that - wow.

I don't know who writes for you, but I do notice, in general, that when his character feels threatened or he doesn't know how to deal with something, he becomes even more of a jerk than usual.
