I was very dissatisfied with this episode.

First, we've known since last season that they can't maintain one Wraith turned human, let alone hundreds. So it was obvious from last week that it would all backfire on them. I found everything regarding the Wraith to be predictable and expected. And why is Michael the only one who isn't either bald or has white hair?

I was dissatisfied with the limited amount of Carson's storyline to make room for the boring political issues back at Atlantis command. Carson's story was far more interesting. I would have liked to see how exactly Michael got the information out of Carson and what exactly he did to Carson. His comments there near the end about Carson serving his purpose also left me wondering if there isn't more to Carson now than before.

And up in the Wraith ship near the end, Carson had a strong disagreement about them slaughtering all the people on the planet. I wanted to see Carson go more head to head with Shepherd because he clearly felt very strongly about this and the issue just was not resolved.

I saw some good potential in this episode for a more meaningful story, but they ruined it by bringing in Wolze, or however you spell his name, to throw politics into it. I don't like politics in the real world, let alone in Stargate.

What about the wraith ship? They went from a fleet of 3 rag tag ships to the boring small dedalus again. Boring....

Okay, not all about the ships. Let's talk storyline here. I happen to agree with Carter. While, I did spot a wraith with short white hair, the rest did have long hair or were bald. I'm wondering if there is a difference between the one's with long hair and the bald one's. For instance, are some like "Steve", while others are perhaps worker wraiths or army wraiths.....

I too was extremely upset not to see more of Beckett's part explored. I really want to know how he got that info out of him. Furthermore, I must have missed it because I still couldn't figure out how he got in contact with the other hive ship.

I somehow see down the road a show down between Michael and Ford. Just a thought. LOL!

They showed how the Wraith on the planet, or the humans turning back into Wraith's, contacted them. As Dr. Beckett was out exploring, he saw one wandering around by himself so he followed him until he found a group of them in a circle, I think around a fire. They looked like they were doing a seyance (sp?) or something. But later on someone mentioned that one Wraith alone couldn't contact a hive ship far away, but the combined mental powers of several could. So that's what they were doing when Beckett spied them, combining their mental powers to contact a Wraith hive ship.

Concerning them losing 3 Wraith hive ships? I must have missed that. I only remember they had one. And they clearly could not operated it well. I believe it's been stated sometime in the past that Wraith ships are a mixture of biological factors and technology. So it's designed for Wraith physiology to operated.

And SG-1 has proven it's dangerous to try and operate an enemy ship. I'm glad they got rid of it, I don't think it looks good for Atlantis people to be flying a Wraith ship any way. Let them just work on destroying them and build their own ships, or use Atlantis ones.

I hope that they're building Carson's character up for something big in the future concerning him and his moral and ethical conscious. Clearly he is not happy with the way Sheppard is running things, transforming Wraith into humans and then not wanting to take any kind of responsibility for them. I can understand Carson's thought on this, that Sheppard and some of the others are acting totally irrresponsibility with no regard to life. Sheppard would have been better off to kill them all once they turned human and not let Carson know.

One thing I noticed and maybe I misunderstood, but on the ship when they were arguing about firing on the planet, it almost seemed to me that McKay was giving a more sympathetic look towards Dr. Beckett. He wasn't engaging in the conversation, probably because it had nothing to do with their immediate survival or technology. And I would say he's closest friends with Beckett before anyone else. I don't know, but I just felt a lot more respect for McKay in just the way he looked sitting there being quiet. Probably because he usually only becomes annoying when he opens his mouth! :p

But I like the ships XD And by 3 ragtag, I meant the Dedalus, Orion, and Wraith Ship. The only ships earth is gonna pump out was the russian ship, which got 5 service hours, and any new ships will go to protecting earth from the ori.

While having a wraith ship would be many problems, yes, it would lead to some interesting twists and whatnot, and since they would never be able to get it to full strength it wouldnt be too great on its own. But with the dedalus combined it could do some serious damage.

And atlantis never had any ships when they got there, the one great ship they had was blown up, The Orion, and any other ships by ancients to be seen are pretty rare...

Micheal obviously survived somehow. When they dont show them getting blown up, and having to go through all that trouble plotwise with the human wraith, I doubt he died.

They didnt use the episode to their full potential, which upset me in the end.

Bring in some super forde already! :p

I like that the human ships aren't as formidable as some of these enemy ships we encounter because that makes it more believable. The whole point of Stargate is that it occurs in present day and just to have built the ships we have meant obtaining alien technology and designing a ship with current knowledge and understanding of such things. Even so, they've already surpassed where they would be if not for alien help, namely the Asgards. We don't want this turning into Star Trek where their technology is centuries more advanced. I think it adds to the charm of this show. I like it this way. :)

I agree with the whole technology thing, its what makes half the show so cool. Our weapons versus advanced alien weapons.

But im saying that its also true earth cant pump our more ships. And if atlantis had more... Who knows.

But, like you say, in most sci-fi shows earth has this huge fleet of space ships. Babylon 5, Star Trek, aliens, etc...

But what I think would make Stargate so much cooler is the process of making those ships. They went from us, right here today, to starting to make human ships, albiet they cant even blow up a ghoald mothership :p

However it seems that theyve instead decided to decimate every ship there is save one. SG1 thats the orion, Atlantis its the Dedalus. *sigh* I still love how in SG-1 the prometheus died in a retarted way, just the same as the russian ship.

The orion died a cool death, after owning a wraith ship, but the captured wraith ship, we just find in ruins and all blown up. w00...

I required signatage and avyartage...

The thing about the shows you mentioned, they were shows placed in the distant future. With that there is the assumption that technology advanced (thus a huge fleet) with it. SG1 is a today show.....

But still, the whole charm of earth creating that fleet is awsome. I mean, use veiwers arent gonna watch a couple hundred years of episodes for tech to advance XD
