It was pretty good for Atlantis. Thus far I've not been that impressed with the Atlantis show.
Just some random thoughts about the episode:
I predict that Michael will turn against them. Now that all his hive have been turned human, he can't be treated like a parasite anymore. He'll be able to reclaim his evil place and I'm sure they'll all be turned back.
I just do not like Ronan. I think his character is extremely weak and annoying.
Where was the doctor in this episode?
I find it annoying that Landry would only focus on the Wraith when the Ori have invaded earth's galaxy and endangering his own people. I expected to hear him make some kind of reference to the other trouble, but by everything I see in the show, you wouldn't think Stargate SG-1 exists or that the Ori even exist. I find that to be really annoying.
Is the doctor from Star Trek Voyager going to be a regular now? He was in both shows' premieres.
I really so no purpose, script wise, in sending Weir back to earth.

I'm still undecided by Michael. However, if he does stay with them, I'm thinking they would have to take someone else off because they are getting too many characters to develop.
I was suprised they wanted Weir back on Earth and while I didn't like it, I thought this was possibly a step to taking Torri off the show. While, I tiked Stten better as Dr. Weir, I'm use to Torri playing the part now. And frankly, I don't know how they would work that out. Somebody has to been in charge while the team is out. I suspect Shephard isn't going to be comfortable sitting around while the team is out. So, who would take her spot?
I was impressed by the first episode this season. I have to admit, I was getting a bit bored towards the end of last season. I hope they can keep it up.
Oh yeah, I hate to say this, but I was digging the Wraith queen. She was exuding much confidence the way she was sitting in her chair and oh, I don't know, her boots I liked too.
I did like that Robert Picardo was in this episode and more understanding than in some of his past guest appearances.
Oh yeah, I find Ronan strong, but quite annoying. Dare I say too much like Shephard (I don't mean that in a bad way). I recall an episode or two where if I could, I would have reached right through the television and strangled Shephard. :p

I don't think we're so lucky to be getting rid of Weir. I'm sure she'll go back to Atlantis next week. If they were going to replace her, I doubt she would have been in the promotional photos we've seen.
Can you imagine if Robert Picardo's character took over being in charge of Atlantis?!

I could see them getting Caldwell to take over as he's a ranking Air Force officer. He wouldn't be a bad choice either. In fact, I think it would be good for Shepherd's character if he was suddenly having to directly respond to a higher ranking officer. Weir is way too soft on him.

I agree, she is to soft on him. But, he has a hard personality for anyone to deal with. But, I will also agree that Caldwell would be a good choice.

That's why I think Caldwell would be a good choice. I could see Caldwell being tough on Shepperd in a way like a father would be tough on an undisciplined son - tough enough to teach self-discipline but with a soft side to show the kindness and caring of a loving father. I think that could be good potential there. A great way to develop Caldwell's character.

I do not like Ronan either, I like ford much better.
As for sending Weir to earth, I was like what the heck? Not sure why they did that.
Anyway this episode was ok, not one of the better ones. I'm not sure I like 3 parters that atlantis has. I think this is the third one for them.

What about the Orion? That ship kicked ***, A wraith hive ship to be specific.
Im mad they killed it. I mean, it was just... so cool.
The wraith ship they have should be alright. I mean, if it survives.
Its gotta, right?
I love how atlantis doesent care about how their galaxy is getting owned by the Ori. In fact, its like not even a problem for them in any way.
I dont like these tie ins, Their... boring, political, and make you confused on what timeframe each show is in reletive to eatchother.
However, in the end I liked the episode. Action, plot, development.

Actually, that's interesting you said that considering Shephard is always saying he doesn't have any family.

I don't think that they don't care. I think they are just dealing with their own issues and frankly, I think if they were talking about the Ori all the time and they are suppose to be fighting the Wraith, it would be distracting to the show. I suppose if they had some cross over episodes, that would be fine, but I think they should stick to the wraith stuff for now.

I may have assumed wrong, but I thought they were doing stuff all in the relatively same time frame, but with different enemies. While, I think they should stay focused on Atlantis, I don't mind the tie ins much, since they have only done them a hand full of times. If you want a real tie in, they need to do them with SG1.

Hey, new feature with this board. In the initial quote tag which looks like this without the spaces...
[ quo te ]
After the word "quote," if you put an equal sign and the username, it will show who you're quoting, like above where it shows your name. So in the brackets it says QUOTE=NewFanAllAround. Just a new feature I didn't know if you were aware of. I think it's nice, that way when you quote someone, readers can see who you are quoting or replying to. Or if you're like me and forget things you've wrote, you can see that they're responding to you and remember.
Anyhoo... I think the reason is because they are two seperate shows and they don't want the main plots overlapping. That makes sense to me.
So we'll see the Atlantis people show an interest in the Ori when the Atlantis people guest star on SG-1 and we'll see SGC people show an interest in the Wraith when the SG-1 people guest star on Atlantis. That is how they seem to be doing things. Makes sense to me. :)
