I liked it, though Vala's daughter felt a little too much "Star Wars" to me and a little too much V, making me think of the Star Child in that mini-series, though she actually turned out to be good.

But I thought this episode was well scripted. I was especially impressed with the rescue of Sam.

I wasn't impressed with the opening credits though.

I missed the opening credits, so I don't know about that.

But, I was pleasantly surpised by this episode. I liked the play between Vala and her daughter. I was suprised, since I didn't like the photo in the other forum, but I was a bit tickled by Daniel in all his armor. I didn't understand some of the additional fight scenes. Like the Luciens quick fight and then all of sudden they left.

Anyhow, I was also impressed on how they tried (and hopefully it's not just for this episode) not making Col Mitchell like Jack. That was something I picked up on immediately. Hopefully it lasts!

They didn't do anything new with the credits except to add Vala. The credits have always looked new each season since Sci-Fi has been running the show.

Didn't notice that about Cameron, but I would have probably noticed if he seemed to be acting like Jack.

I didn't even think about the armor pic. The armor looked better in the show than in that still shot.

Their suddenly did seem strange considering how adament they were about taking the humans. Maybe they realized they were outmanned and outgunned when Bra'tac arrived.

I liked this episode. I thought the two escape scenes (the one for mitchel and the one for daniel) were very well done. The rescue of carter seemed a bit over the top. I thought it would have been better if he flew a 302 to get here and then dragged her back.

I also thought the girl was a bit Starwarish as well.

But anyway overall a great episode.

I liked the atlantis better, but this episode was alright. I mean, some things were just... dumb. Like the jaffa fleet guy, I forget his name, turns against the dedalus. Then blows up his ship and runs. Too much is going on in the NICK OF TIME in the episode. Cameron got in the F302 in the NICK of time, Teilk was just left alive, Daniel jumped in the rings in the nick of time. Oh, and about that, a little self centered? Forget about the other two guys helping with the nuke... And a second later the ship blows up.

Transporting Teilk the second the enemy ship blows up.
Or the team when they are ramming the ori ship.

What was with that too? Is bretak being retarted? Because usualy he is awsome, smart, and honorable. Ramming the ship? That was just DUMB. Way to blow up one of the only remaining mother ships.

I also love how the russian ship lasted, oh 5 hours. They seemed like a great crew already. Their russian, theyve got to have like biochemical and nuclular weapons on board, And oh they did when he wanted to pull a dedalus and transport a nuke.

The more the new general talks, the less I like him. He shut down the (Doctor from voyage) guy. I actualy like him, and not the general :p

Obviously Oneill, I dont agree with you, Carters rescue seemed fine. Camerons and Daniels Seemed over the top.

Now, I would have been fine with it had they not been the ONLY survivors.

Oh, and if another ship gets blown up as retartedly as the other, was it, 50 have, then the jaffa are braindamaged.

This has set the way for an interesting season, so I hope to see it continue. Despite my unlikes of this episdoe, all in all it was alright.

Um, yeah, about that. If I were Daniel, I would have done the same thing. You go into this survivor mode when in danger. While, it would have been great to try and save other people, Daniel knew darn good and well, he didn't have time for that. Besides, would have messed up the entire plot for Vala and her daughter.

They weren't the only survivors. They were the only survivors they showed being rescued. And speaking of that, what's with being beamed always to the command deck of the ships? That happens even on Atlantis. If I were a commander, I'd be like "dude, your blocking my view". :p

I thought about that when I watched the episode. Daniel jumping ship? What about his noble personality? But then I thought about it. If he suddenly realized the ship was seconds away from blowing up, which I'm sure he figured out from the commotion around him, his initial instinct would be survival and as he was right there, he made his break knowing there would be no way to save anyone else. So I really can't argue with that. I'd probably do the same thing. When you feel your life is in danger, you respond without thinking. You go with your first instinct to get out of danger. I think it would be extremely rare to find someone who wouldn't do such a thing. Maybe if Daniel was a trained military leader who would go down with his crew before abandoning them, but he's not. So I think his actions are very believable, even for Daniel. You do what you have to to survive.

I finally got to see this episode all the way through today. Okay, I have to admit, the bit on how they rescued Sam was a little, um, well, far fetched....no.....unrealistic.....no this is SciFi. I just didn't like it.

The rest of the episode wasn't too bad.
