Title:Conversion (Part 2)
Directed by:Brad Turner
Written by:Robert C. Cooper and Martin Gero
Original Air Date:September 9, 2005 (Sci Fi Channel)
Synopsis:After Ellia injects him with the retro-virus (Instinct), the Atlantis team races against time to find a way to reverse Sheppard's transformation into an Iratus bug hybrid. But even though Sheppard might make it difficult for them, he could be the key to his own salvation.
****************************************
It was okay - felt too much like Star Trek though.
Like how it was so nice how the mess was all cleaned up so nicely by the end of the episode. Or how they had two expendables who died.
I have a question though. If the bugs absolutely hate salt water, then why didn't the people who initially went into the cave drench themselves with it first? Surely they would have been able to reach the eggs then.
Was the fact that his body so quickly healed the initial wound due to the Wraith dna or due to the Ancient gene he possesses which the Ancient he met in season 1 seemed to indicate to him that he was more Ancient than he realized.
Was the whole point of this episode to give Shep and Teyla an excuse to kiss each other? I kind of felt that way.
