Watch this last night, sorry you missed it Carter. This one was really good. Verry emotional the week. The weak hearted may have cried. Claudia Black was tied up and then set on file with burning oil. Michael Shanks did such a surpurb job in that sceene.
I enjoyed Ben's character (Cameron) much better this time.
With bad acients out there, not sure how were going to beat them, pretty tough advisary.
Gosh I love this show.

I'm so mad at myself because I totally forgot about Stargate last night until the last few minutes of the last showing of SG-1!!! >:

Oh man that sucks!
I did very much enjoy this episode. I'm thinking either they regrouped or hired some new writers, because the storyline is so much better this season.
I was shocked that she actually burned.
I'm very curious as to what they are going to tell Daniel about who they are and what they do. So many Biblical type references in this episode. It's really peaked my curiosity.
Also nice to see MS wife in the show. I wonder what her relation to the general is. The way she was talking to him made me wonder if she had been involved with him before or even perhaps his daughter or something.

She is The general's Daughter. I read that in the Stargate Magazine.

Hang on, the woman who strapped her wrist to Daniel's is the new General's daughter? That's interesting.

Oh no,
There is a new medical officer who is also the General's daughter. This new medical officer is played by Lexa Doig MS real life wife. When I read that his wife was getting a recurring role on sg1 I thought his wife was Claudia Black the girl he is conected to with the arm bracelets. I was wrong. his wife is Lexa Doig wich was pointed out in the Avalon Part 1 thread by NewFanAllAround.

I think it would have made for an extremely interesting sub-plot if the Claudia Black's character was the General's daughter!

I guess no one else thought so. :b
I finally saw it tonight. Yea! It helps to make so much more sense to the rest of the season.
But...
I didn't care for the whole Merlin, pull the sword, get the treasure thing. It seemed too fast and insignificant. I think there was much more possibility for that storyline that they didn't use.
And I didn't get why that communication thing was in with the treasure like that.
Furthermore, I want to hear Sam explain how that device can work, scientifically. Becuase I ended up feeling it was a bit too unbelievable and needed Sam's scientific view to feel it was realistic.
I was surprised that they actually burned her. More surprised at Daniel's reaction considering how much he loathes her. Guess it shows Daniel's true nature and heart which I thought was sweet.
It's also weird to find that the Ancients did not originate on earth but came from a different galaxy. See, I missed that part and so things that were said in regards to it since didn't make much sense to me or why the Ancients were being called something different.
Aside from finding the device to be unbelievable and being disappointed in the whole Merlin part, I did enjoy the episode.

Okay, I just noticed something else tonight as well. How was Daniel able to hold her right after she was put out? Don't you think she still would have been scaulding hot?

Well since an Ori dude put her out, I'm guessing he cooled her down as well.

Yeah, I suppose, but when they did the close up, her hair wasn't even burned. Now, he may have cooled her down, but the Ori had yet to start transforming her back to her pre burnt form, so I was just wondering.

Hm, how about she wasn't really burned in rl? Ha, I guess it's just one of them mini-screwups they do sometimes :)
I just saw the ep and liked it alot, the new characters fit in well and for some weird reason im not gonna miss o'neill. He was getting old anyway... ^^
I have decided to watch one or two episodes every other day, instead of everyday because this way it will last 5 months instead of 2.5 :)

That's it, your kicked off the board. Just kidding. I do miss Jack. I'd rather have Jack than Cameron, but if he had to replaced, I'm okay with Cameron doing it. I mean about it. RDA is getting up there.

I really like him, hes though the least favourite in sg-1 team. The show just got a whole new direction, with the new legends (I assume the goa'ould are defeated and now it's king arthur merlin thing going on) and the show can use some freshing up. I really haven't got to know cameron yet since ive only seen two episodes, but stuff move on. Besides ive known about him leaving since the beginning of s7 so it's not a suprise either, and ive known about cameron for a long time (since he is on all the sg-1 pics nowdays)

Did you get to see Ben Browder in any of his Farscape work? Claudia Black was in that show too. I think that is why they brought them in together.
