I think this was the first episode that I just all around enjoyed. Maybe because Sam's back and the team feels more complete. And maybe because Daniel and Teal'c weren't whining about not wanting to be on SG-1 anymore.

At least we seem to have some idea of what Jack is up to now and where Sam has been.

A jolly Goa'uld, that was interesting, but I had him figured from the start just because we know that all Goa'ulds are evil. I didn't quite guess his purpose so early, but I did pick up faster than the characters did that firing on the stupid forcefield was in fact feeding it and making it grow and they should have stopped long before they did. I find it annoying when I discover the obvious answer before the characters just because if I can see it then they should be able to see it too.

My biggest question is - why don't the Ancients get involved? Seriously. Yeah, it may be mortals doing the work, but they doing it with the power of ascended beings and the Ancients should put a stop to that.

I was just wondering the same thing. The ancients and there "no involvement" are starting to get on my nerves.

And does anyone know what's going on with the Tok'ra?
