I thought the episode was interesting. Neither impressed nor disappointed. Positive point - we saw more of Sam, Daniel, and Teal'c and we saw SG-1 working together as a team. Bonus points for them. Nice to see Frasier again, though her part was too short. Martouf as well but I had a problem with our Samantha having romantic feelings towards him and wanting to kiss him when she's already in a committed relationship with Jack and that relationship shouldn't be so easily forgotten by her.
The one thing that surprised me was that with all these teams, there wasn't at least one which had a Jack O'Neill on it.
I wonder how many more ways they can make an episode based on the alternate universe plot.
Also, I miss Thor too. What's up with these cranky, annoying Asgard?

I was stunned that she was so willing to kiss him! First time I think I've ever been disappointed in Sam.
More later.

I agree, that little move she made towards him and her show of feelings towards him made me very disappointed in her.
Guess we could say it was Jolinar in her.

Okay, so I really liked the play between all the different characters. But, why not a cameo by RDA. Not one alternate reality had Jack. If there was an alternate reality that had Janet or Martuf, there should have been an alternate reality with Jack.
Anyhow, love the very end when Janet said Sam was on maternity leave. You just know she was making a reference to Jack.

And Martouf never got the chance to tell her who she ended up with in his reality. Of course Jack, though I would have loved to hear him say Daniel!
One thing I couldn't figure out was the initial one-on-one talks, or whatever they're called.
Landry sat down with alternate Cameron.
Cameron sat down with alternate Daniel.
Daniel sat down with alternate Teal'c.
Sam sat down with alternate Sam.
Why would only one of them face their alternate self?
Another question, since they knew Atlantis had a power source, why wouldn't they go to their Atlantis and take it? Why would they try to steal it from an alternate universe?

I'm thinking they didn't have a power source big enough to get them there, thus having to steal Promethius. They did say they were going there get the ZedPM. That means, they didn't have a power source big enough to even dial into the galaxy, let alone getting there.
Remember, even in the main reality, they only had enough power to get to Atlantis one way.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I loved the little comment that Daniel made about liking Thor better. It wasn't the comment so much, as opposed to the way he said it.

And I was so agreeing with him!
I thought the room full of Carter's was rather funny.
I also loved when Landry came into the room and asked for Colonel Carter and everyone turned to him, he then said, "My Colonel Carter." I don't know why, but his use of the word "my" seemed kind of endearing to me. But then in the preview for next week he said that he saw Teal'c as family and would fight for him - or something to that effect. I'm really, really liking this, seeing Landry become almost like a father-figure to SG-1, like they're his kids. Though of course Teal'c is old enough to be his father, still...
Though when you consider how old Teal'c is, I find it funny to think back at how Hammond sometimes called him, "Son."

I liked the show, but had some similar questions. Such as if the first sg1 could not get to atlantis to get the zpm what makes them think they could get it in this reality. for all they know there might not have even been an Atlantis in this reality.
Also I found it strange that Sam would want to kiss Martouf, as she is supposed to be with Jack and I don't believe she ever kissed Martouf before.
All in all a good show. I did enjoy the two Camerons talking about old times. That was funny. I also like the Landry is finaly getting into his own character.

Oh my, when the two Camerons were talking, I found that utterly hilarious. I'd kind of forgotten about that moment as it was so short lived.

I was thinking the same as CB last night but forgot to post. How could they know by selecting another alternate reality that they would have a power source in Atlantis and the means to get to it?
Also, if they were as smart as our SG-1, and think in the same way, it makes no sense. They would know that the Ancients were killed off by a plague and so logically no Ancient defense would cure the disease or stop it from spreading.
So the entire reason for them deciding to do this made no sense to me. Exactly how were they going to use the defenses in Antarctica to fight a plague that killed of the builders of those defenses? Clearly those defenses were not designed for biological warfare.

I think they probably just made an assumtion. It wouldn't be the first time the SG team has made an assumption. :lol

Nice to see Frasier again, though her part was too short.
I agree. I was delighted to see Teryl Rothery's name in the credits, but Janet was only on screen for a couple of minutes.
I didn't like Sam and Martouf's almost kiss but in fairness to Sam, Jolinar is still a part of her, physically, mentally and emotionally, so we can blame that. It was kind of sweet that alternate Martouf joined the SGC to be closer to Sam, even though I'm not a fan of the pairing. I'd have been happier if he'd said that the Sam in his world was with the Jack there, though.
I liked Landry in this episode. He's my favourite of the three new characters. I'm not overly fond of Cameron or Dr Lam, not yet at any rate. His line about 'my' Colonel Carter was funny and I liked that he sent the cure back with alternate Janet. I would have been disappointed in the character if he hadn't.
I'm not entirely sure what the deal was with the ZedPM - what exactly is that, by the way? - but I think that the 'bad' alternates (did they really have to have them wear black?) had used up their supply or whatever and wanted to swipe it from another reality.
It'll be interesting to see what the deal with alternate Cameron telling regular Cameron to pick green when the time comes - and whether or not he's setting him up for a fall.

I watched that episode tonight. I have Season 9 on DVD. When it came to that point I remembered this thread. He did not say Baal. He said "Following her honeymoon." I guess he was just saying it so fast that it sounded like Baal.

I thought it was a little unbelievable that Cameron, Sam, and Teal'c would go into another dimension and potentially screw that one up for themselves. I mean, if you look at the episode Morpheus where they travel back in time, Carter is by the book. Whenever other people came through from another dimension, these characters went out of their way to fix the other realities. Does this mean that that particular reality is filled with the evil twin syndrome? I mean, Cameron did some grave when talking about this ominous thing that will happen, but really. It's like that SG1 team coped out.
