I really liked this episode. I think having Cassie in Sam's life was a great idea and wish they would have explored that further.

I do wish they would explain how it is the Tok'ra can not be evil if they too have genetic memory and apparantly are the same as the Goa'uld.

actually after watching a lot of episodes with the Tok'ra I don't see much of a difference between Goa'uld and Tok'ra. They are arrogant like the Goa'uld and they think of themselves more than they do the host they are in. All the times they have lied to SG-1 what that Tok'ra lady said when Sam asked her about what happened to Martouf's body in season five. She acted as if Martouf was less important that Lantash. Actually Jolinar was nicer, but she still entered Sam without permission. And she did save her life which is another point in her favor. But I didn't like it when Cassie said that Sam/Jolinar said she was going to kill her if she said anything. On the whole I give the episode about 10 stargates. I think it should have been the premier instead of "Serpent's Lair."

However they don't enslave people, they don't have their own Jaffa's, they don't murder innocent people, they don't use the sarcophagus, they don't take a host against the host's will, when they blend with a host they go in through the mouth so the host will not have a scar. So they're not the same.

Jolinar was not the only person to take over an unwilling host, the same later happened to Jack. However, Jolinar was under a lot of pressure to get away from the guy chasing her. She just wanted to get home and to have stayed in that man would have meant certain death. She was willing to give Sam back.

However, I wonder why she would never let Sam speak, unless it was because she really didn't think it would do any good because they wouldn't believe her if she did.

This is one of my favourite episodes. I loved the twist of having a group of Goa'uld that weren't evil, who could even be potential allies.

I also liked the way, even though it was Sam who was possessed by Jolinar, it showed how it affected the whole team, rather than taking the easy way out and making it all about Sam. I also like that Sam didn't just bounce back from what happened to her, and that the fallout from Jolinar continued to be shown.

A very well-deserved 10/10 stargates.

I did really enjoy this episode. It was interesting to see how Sam dealt with Jolinar.
