Steen or Higginson

Jessica Steen played Dr. Weir in the season 7 finale "The Lost City." Torri Higginson replaced her in season 8 and continued into Atlantis. Steen was blond, Higginson is brunette. Who do/did you like better for the role?

BTW, why did they replace Steen? Anyone know?

I tried to find out why they replaced her but was never able to find any information.

I liked Steen better. Don't know, she just seemed more diplomatic and fit the role better. I didn't see Lost City until after I was introduced to Higginson as Weir. I just thought Steen was better in the role.

I liked Higginson, I thought she looked the part better but I did like the way that Steen portrayed her, however I think I would have got sick of Steen eventually but then again Higginson does get annoying at times too.. .but I don't know if that is just the character. (hmmm.. I am rethinking my answer to that poll now)

I found a little mini article that said no one knows why the execs changed actresses. Supposedly, they even paid Steen extra money not to take additional jobs during the break. But, then at the last minute picked up Higginson without explanation.

i gotta say i like torri cause even if i've never jessica doing the role, i like that torri brings something new and fresh to the character and its good that she didnt have to look like Paris Hilton *blonde hair btw*to do so. i just feel that she didnt seem to have that certain something for the role.

I prefer Tori, she seems to meld better in the role. Steen was good, I would have liked to see where she took the character.

Easily higginson, steen was so annoying gosh I just wanted her out from sg-1... and she did leave yay

I liked Steen better. For some reason I've never liked Higginson and Steen seemed to me more convincing. I've grown to like Higginson better since she's been on SGA, but I still vote Steen.
