Stargate is a Family Friendly forum.

The most basic way to put the rules: If they would not show it in the tv series, it should not be described in your fan fiction. This board is family friendly and as the show has never been rated R (except for the pilot for brief nudity of a non-sexual nature), fan fiction on this board should reflect that same identity.

Jack has recently started an R rated fan fiction area off of this board for any member who has a problem with these standards.

1. Absolutely no SLASH fiction whatsoever. Any stories of this nature will be deleted and the author will be warned. Slash fan fiction is illegal and is not welcome here.

2. The highest rating allowed for stories is PG-13. Since the minimum age requirement to be a member here is 13, all stories should be accetable for this age group.

4. Don't steal other people's work. Post your own work. You may post another person's story with their permission only and if you give them credit.

5. It is preferable not to have any foul language. However, any language used by a character on the show is permissable in fan fiction. You may not use foul language not used on the tv show however.

Any story found to violate these rules will be removed immediatly and the author warned. Repeated Failure to comply with these rules may result in the individual being immediately banned from the community.

Please do not comment about people's stories in their story. Only the person who starts a thread (story) in this forum has the right to post in their story. Comments should be posted in the Fan Fiction Commentary forum. That is specifically what that forum is for. Either the person who starts a story can post a thread there for comments or questions or whatever about their story for others to give them feedback, or someone else can start a thread about someone's story if none have been started already. I ask that there only be one comment thread per story for all comments by any member to post there.

This is just so the flow of a story is not interupted and allows people reading the story to make comments or ask questions before the story is finished.

Comment in the Fan Fiction Commentary (http://p075.ezboard.com/fstargate76603frm13) forum.

Comments may be posted in threads that post poetry rather than a story.

Lastly, if you have Fan Fiction that you would like to post that does not fit in the above criteria, it may be posted here (http://www.stargatecommand.net/efiction/index.php).
