How many times must Daniel ascend?

Daniel must once again decide whether to risk death or ascend when Oma Desala gives him a second chance. O'Neill and Carter struggle with their respective personal relationships.
I don't want him to ascend. I like him better the way he is. Although he did seem to have a calming effect when he was ascended. I had tears in my eyes at the end of the episode tonight where he spoke to Teal'c who was recovering.

Actually, I found my answer about Jack.

Meanwhile, Jack O'Neill has begun a romantic relationship with Kerry Johnson, a 30-something woman who is on the new S.G.C. Professional Oversight Committee, an organization charged with the task of overseeing base operations. The two have really hit it off -- but something is holding Jack back, and Kerry knows it.

Colonel Carter is facing personal issues on multiple fronts: Sam is having second thoughts about her engagement to Pete Shanahan, who has just bought a house for the two of them. She tries to talk to Jack about her feelings for the general, but is interrupted when Kerry arrives. And her father, the Tok'ra Jacob Carter, is seriously unwell.
Well, I think the show has pretty much set it up that Jack and Sam will never be happy with anyone except each other. I really do see the show ending with them being together. Daniel will probably ascend once and forever, and Teal'c will probably return to his people.

This episode also may end up being 90 minutes long instead of 42. That would be extremely cool.
