I have the first three seasons now on DVD and so far, season 3 has the best for special features. Has anyone else seen them? If not, here is some interesting/fun little facts from it.

1. It was discovered that Kurt Russell was going to be filming a movie on the same lot as Stargate SG-1, "3000 Miles to Graceland" or something like that. He was extended an invitation to visit the set and he did. They showed footage of him walking around in the gate room in his Elvis make-up and costume. He shook Amanda Tapping's hand and posed for photos with Richard Dean Anderson. Rick made the comment, "Jack O'Neill before and after." It looked like they all had a really good time.

2. Amanda Tapping shared that her and Teryl Rothery were real spaz's off camera and one of their long-running jokes was that they were both beauty salon graduates. It was just a funny segment I thought.

3. For the episode "Solitudes," they actually froze the set so that it was really ice and snow Jack and Sam were on and around and it was freezing, so Jack's comment about his butt freezing to the ground was really true. Amanda said that when she had to climb up to get to the surface, she kept falling and sliding down and they kept running the cameras.

4. Amanda said that in one of the episodes she was looking at a screen while standing next to the puppet, Thor. The tech guys made it so that Thor's hand moved up and touched her bum (which she called it). Without thinking, she turned and smacked Thor in the face and said his face did this weird distorting thing. She immediate apologized to Thor and then realized he was just a puppet.

5. In the episode "Nemesis," Daniel had to have his appendix out. In real life, the actor had the same problem. Right before filming the episode, he was rushed to the hospital where he tried to argue with the doctor that he didn't have an appendicitus and could go home. His appendix had already burst. The writers had to rush quickly to change the script to allow for the actor's absence and decided to write it in just because they usually never showed the characters having any kind of "normal" problem.

6. Gary Jones who plays a recurring technician talked about his character's name. In one episode, Jack called him "Walter Davis." After that he was told that "Walter" didn't clear and that his name was Harriman Davis. However, when he got his flight suit or whatever, it had the name Norman Davis. He has never been called these names though on the show.

(Why don't they just call him Don Davis?) ;)

7. The actor who played Bra'tac said that his favorite episode in the show was "The Serpent's Lair" beacuse he got stuck for quite some time in a small cockpit with Richard Dean Anderson and enjoyed the time they spent doing that shot.
