20 episodes?

Amanda Tapping has signed on to do 15 out of 20 episodes next season, taking the first five off for maternity leave. This season it looks like they're only going to have 20 episodes as well. Every season before had 22 episodes? Why are they cheating us out of new episodes?

It probably has to do with her pregnancy and personel leaving and arriving to the show. Normally, I would be upset, but under the circumstances, I'm just happy they are having another season.

They still could have done 22 episodes this season despite her pregnancy and they could do 22 episodes next season as well. It may take her out of a handful of episodes, but they could do it, even minimizing to seeing her working behind a table or something so you don't see that she's pregnant.
