A job for the Air Force?

In the episode where SG-1 got pulled into these devices where Jack and Daniel had to relive a couple of their worst memories, Jack's memory was of a mission to I think a drug lord. I was wondering though, is that something the air force would have done? I would think the army or marines would be the ones to do such a mission.

Depends on what field he was originally serving in. Also could have easily been a joint task force operation involving several branches of the military.

the other thing I always wonder about that episode is why Sam and Teal'c didn't relive their memories?... It always seemed strange to me to just focus on the memories of those two...

They said in the episode that it had something to do with the fact Teal'c carried a symbiote (sp?) in him and Sam had once had one in her which disolved but left some kind of residue which made her immune.
