Imagine if the actors/actresses from SG-1 had been cast in LOTR. What roles do you think they would best play?
You can either pick them as a named character or pick the race.
For example, you might say...
"I think Don Davis would have been great as Bilbo Baggins."
or you could say...
"I think Don Davis should have been a dwarf."
The latter, saying what species you think they should be, is if you don't think there's really a character that suits them.

That's a hard one since the character between the show and the movie are so different.
It's especially difficult for Amanda Tapping as there weren't many lead women roles and she certainly doesn't fit into Galadriels shoes.
Let me ponder on that one for awhile.

Hmm...
Richard Dean Anderson - elf - because he's so tall and skinny. Although I could see him being Aragorn as well. Technically Aragorn could have gray hair and be played by a man in his 50's. Aragorn was himself in his 80's, blessed with long life because he had elf blood in his ancestory.
Amanda Tapping - man - particularly a woman of Rohan because of her blond hair. According to the books, the people of Rohan are all blonds. She could probably make a good Eowyn.
Michael Shanks - I'm split two ways - I could see him being a hobbit, but I could also see him playing the part of Faramir of Gondor (son of Denethor and brother of Boromir who ends up marrying Eowyn of Rohan)
Christopher Judge - Uruk-Hai - just because of the shape of his body being so muscular and built - much like the Uruk's. Remember that the Uruk-Hai's were a creation of Saruman in Fellowship of the Ring, they were the ones who captured Merry and Pippin and were destroyed by the Rohirrim in TTT. They were a crossbreed of Orcs and Goblin men.
Don S. Davis - hobbit
Teryl Rothery - hobbit
Ronny Cox (Kinsey) - Denethor (Boromir and Faramir's father who was steward of Gondor before the return of the king)
The actor who plays Maybourne - dwarf
The actor who plays Bra'tac - man
The actor who plays Jacob Carter - man

Well, this is an interesting topic...I had to think on this one.
Richard Dean Anderson (As Jack) - Man- Most definatly. He is too human to be anything else. I could most deffinatly see him as Aragorn.
Michael Shanks (Daniel) - Wizard-(ok a very young looking Wizard)LOL He knows to much. Not that that is a bad thing. But look at Gandalf. He knew how many languages and knew alot about cultures and stuff.
Amanda Tapping (Sam) - I would say a female Warden from Lorien. There were such things and they were not stupid by any means.
Christopher Judge (Teal'c) - I agree with Col. Carter on this one. Deffinatly (sp?) A Uruk-Hai. Just the way his charater is he would be a Lurtz for sure.
Don S. Davis (Gen. Hammond) - I would say man - Like Theoden only with more (ahem) guts.
Teryl Rothery (Janet) - Well, I would say an Elf. A short elf but an Elf. They were great healors as was she.
Ronny Cox (Kinsey) - man- Definatly Denethor. Cos both Kinsey and Denethor were nuts!
Can you tell I am a LOTR fan too? :p
