The Ambassador

In "2010" we saw that Sam was married to an ambassador. In "2001" we saw that ambassador again when he was sent with SG-1 to negotiate with the Ashen. At the end of that episode, Sam had to leave him behind to go through the gate. The last she saw of him, he was fighting with one of the Ashen on a deck above.

Did they ever say what happened to him? There's a good chance that he's still alive. He may be a prisoner or something.

I doubt that he is alive. The Ashen had no qualms about taking care of their enemies. But, this is SciFi. I'm sure it's completely plausible.

Sad thing is, I thought they made a really good couple.

But, if I had to guess, I would say he's dead.
