Mother of all contests

The official MGM Stargate SG-1 site is hosting a contest titled the Mother of All Contests. Basically you guess the day, hour, and minute that Amanda Tapping will give birth and the sex of the baby.

The grand prize is an autographed sweatshirt from the cast, an autographed script, and season 1-7 on DVD. Which I would think would be cooler if I didn't already own five of the seasons. First prize is season 7 on DVD.

Just thought I'd let ya'll know in case you didn't know about it and wanted to enter. Considering they're asking you to guess right down to the minute, I'd say chances are slim, but I'm also guessing that they'll go with whoever guessed the closest if no one guessed it right on. Good thing they didn't go down to the second. ;)

I think a cooler prize would be a trip to visit the set and watch them film for a day.

They already do that, and more with "get in the gate" in the summer. Guess they wanted to be different.

The "Get in the Gate" contest, ususally in mid to late summer, gives away a trip to Vancouver and a chance to be IN the shows, SG-1 And Atlantis as a walk on part. Look for it at www.scifi.com/stargate/ (http://www.scifi.com/stargate/) ... just not yet. :helmet

Do they do that contest annually? I remember seeing them advertise it a few months ago. I thought the commercial was very funny. I didn't enter it, guess I figured I've never won anything big, why start now? :b

I've only been doing stargate for 2 years, and they've done it twice that I know of. I entered both times, but haven't won. I never win anything...

If you watched the lates 'Lowdown' that was on right before the second half season opener, the winner of this year was interviewed... He was a screaming nomad or something...
