Does she wear a wig?

I was noticing in the seventh season DVD set, when they did their feature on Amanda Tapping, in some of the interview scenes where she was clearly not on set and in costume, she had long hair. They showed her taking a nature hike one weekend and her hair was braided back. I always assumed the actress had her hair cut for the part. So does anyone know if she wears wigs and just has her hair pulled up underneath?

Honest opinion - I like her much better with short hair. I just think given her physical features and hair color, shorter hair looks better on her.

I assumed she always had short hair. But, I know she wears a wig when she does some of her dual roles.

Are you sure she isn't wearing a wig when her hair is short and her long-haired roles are actually her showing her real hair? I find it hard to believe she wears a long wig on weekends when she's just out relaxing and not at work.

well it depends when the clip was taken because it could have been off season and well some people hair grows fast i know mine does

but i could probably find out as i have contacts who know her

Well, I was also thinking a lot of other pics I've seen of her on the internet are short haired, so I was guessing it's "normally" short.

shes had short hair in most of the things she does and short hair looks good on her as some people CAN NOT pull short hair off

I'm fairly certain that she was wearing a wig in 'Point of View', a behind the scenes video dealing with special effects said so.

It would probably be very difficult to keep her hair tucked under a short wig, especially during any action scenes.
