I was reading in a Stargate magazine where director Martin Wood said that the difference between Jack O'Neill and John Sheppard is Superman to Batman. Jack being like Superman and John being like Batman (having a darker side).
What do you think about that comment?"
I disagree, I've seen a much darker side to Jack than anyone else in all the Stargate universe, aside from bad guys that is. Jack's son died, he was suicidal, he initially went through the Stargate to go on a suicide mission. He may have lightened up a lot, but we all know that he has a very, very, very dark side to him that if it chose to resurface, he would be a very dangerous person to be around.
John has not showed that he has much of a darkside, if he's shown that he has any. I don't think I've seen him have any kind of a dark side.
I think Martin Wood is trippin'. He also said in the article that he likes killing off major characters, like Dr. Frasier, for the shock factor of the audience.
Somebody push him down and kick him in the rear!
