You have your choice between serving at the SGC or serving at Atlantis.
If you choose the SGC, you will not be assigned to SG-1 but you will be assigned to another SGC team.
If you choose Atlantis, you will not be a part of Col. Sheppard's team but you will get to go off world with others.
This is so that your decision on where to go is not based on who you'll be working alongside with.
We promise not to assign you alongside Kavanagh if you choose Atlantis.
If you choose SG-1, remember you'll be facing the constant threat of the Ori and who knows when you'll come across them on your missions.
If you choose Atlantis, remember you'll be facing the constant threat of the Wraith and who knows when you'll come across them on your missions.
So, what are you going to choose?

I decided on SGC, the Wraith are some scary sons of guns.

I think I'd rather face a Wraith than an Ori considering the Ori could kill me without touching me or firing anything physical that I can see. The Ori are far more deadly and menacing imo.
I chose Atlantis, not only because I'd rather deal with Wraith than Ori, but because Atlantis is way cooler than the SGC and it's a new galaxy that needs exploring. :)

yea but the Ori are a bit slow they will give you some time to figure something out. The Wraith on the other hand just come and eat ya. Not much warning. Better be quick on your feet.

On the other hand, they had Sheppard, Teyla, and Dex all held prisoner on a ship (I think those were the only three SGA personnel) along with Ford here just recently. Sheppard was even brought before the queen and forced on his knees and it looked as though she were about to suck his life away when she decided instead to send him back to a cell, where he met the slave girl and all that. So they don't just eat you, or suck your life force out. And there's also the possibility of becoming a Wraith worshipper to avoid being killed, not unlike what the Ori do.
But I think it is easier if you set your mind to kill the enemy, to kill a Wraith than it is to kill an Ori. Especially since the Ori are ascended, but even killing a Wraith would be easier than killing an Ori missionary.
The Wraith do appear more menacing, they definitely appear more monsterous because they act based on instinct whereas the Ori are actually more dangerous because they have a higher intellect and power.
I'd rather fight a dumb brute than an extremely intelligent and powerful evil force. If it wasn't for the help of an Ancient, earth would be dead right now from a mysterious plague.

That is true, I believe it would be easier to kill a wraith than an ori or a prior.
I guess either way your in for a great adventure and a good battle.

Another way to look at it is to ask who you would rather serve under. Landry or Weir? Personally I think I'd rather serve under Landry, he's got a lot more experience and being military would be better to be in charge for trying to fight against the Wraith than I Weir, plus he seems a whole lot more confident than Weir does. However, the intrigue of Atlantis would be strong enough for me to agree to serve under Weir. But Kavanagh might want to watch out, never know what I might do to have a little laugh at his expense. ;)

I like Landry better also, however it would be fun to kick Kavanagh in rump every now and then.

Thor all the way baby!
Speaking of that. Have SG1 mentioned whether or not the Asgard know about the Ori?

I don't believe that has been mention yet.

The Asgard have to know about the Ori because we saw an Asgard in the recent episode where all the different SG-1 teams from alternate universe's showed up and there was frequent talk about the Ori. I seriously doubt that Asgard was in the SGC and completely naive and unaware of the Ori. And if he knows, I'm sure all his people know.

I believe the Asgard know as well, I just don't think it has been mention in the show yet.
