Movie to the Series

When going between the movie and the series we often don't think about the inconsistencies that popped up between the two. Not only issues of alterations in cash - which are unavoidable - but I think the person Daniel Jackson was in the movie altered to the series. In fact, I don't think Daniel would have stayed with the SGC after his wife was dead.

The Daniel's did change, from Spader to Shanks. But that's almost always a given from movie to TV series. And that's also nearly always down to cash. It would cost alot more money to continue hiring a movie star than to find a 20-something looking for work. As for Daniel sticking around or not after burying his wife, I think I speak for alot of fans when I say I'm glad he did. He was one of, if not the main character for nearly 7 seasons. Let's face it, the movie and 3 series happened because he cracked the code. It's a good job fictitious circumstances didn't get the better of him.

Oh I love Daniel, O'Neil and him are the two reasons I watched the show! I always love seeing Daniel in things. However, it appeared to me to have the same issue that many TV shows do - Daniel took very little time on screen to mourn.
