Ever wonder why they didn't really show any of the land they found or explored it more?

Why haven't they gone back to check on Tala's people out there?

I dunno. I thought it seemed strange that they found land and haven't seen them explore it much, but then I haven't seen every episode and thought maybe that I missed something.

I would think that the Ancients would have some kind of ruins or something on the land there.

I have an undying curiosity. I want to see more of the station and the world where Atlantis is located. They keep going off to these worlds so you don't get to see as much of their new home.

Here's a question. Sam Carter had to figure out planetary shift to make the Stargates work. How is it that these people in this galaxy don't have that problem, because they certainly aren't as advanced or more advanced than the people from Earth that I would think they could have figured it out.

I wondered similar things. My best guess is they simply do it, but it doesn't show them doing it. I read somewhere that Maj Shepard was a genius mathmatician, but doesn't let on. Not sure if that is true or not.

My second guess was that the ancients already took that into account and it's already in their database/system.

Its my understanding that the DHDs have built in compensation for the stellar drift. In the case of Atlantis base, I 'm sure its just because the Ancients were just so darned good at building these things that they built it in to the base Stargate activation too.

As for the land exploration, I think that was what Shepherd was doing when he discovered the massive storm. As I recall, he was going out for a flyover to have a look around.
