Ok, just finished watching SGU...
It was odd...Why can't Chloe stay dead....dang. *sighs*
I'll write more later when my brain don't hurt.
BTW I don't feel sorry for any character.

OK Lets just call this epi "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" Shall we do" The Time Warp Again?" :o Ummm...no wet eyes here for the Miss Spoiled Sporty. And I guess if you are going to be all snuffly and emotional and dont want to be embarrassed you talk to a corpse, eh, Eli? Are the big studio execs going back to grade three do-overs, where they can try another take on the same story? There are some overpaid people using precious trees in a bad way. Recycling is good but not in a script.

Yeah, the story line itself was not great (big surprise) however, I am starting to feel embarrassed for feeling bad for Eli.

Does anyone know how this show is doing in the ratings? I am really stretching the amount of time I usually spend giving a show a chance, because I want the Stargate Franchise to be successful. However, this is getting really boring.

you know I loved watching the annoying people die over and over... I want them to... but now I know they will not die and in the next eps they ARE going to live. Isn't alit cliche for alians popings in and out of peoples chest? The password for Destiny is DESTINY! The Acient were full of irony. look at the Ori and the code for origin for the A-weapon.

Well, SyFy is boasting about its ratings...like that's any surprise. Other than that...*shruggs*

True, they are going to play the show up to get viewers. I would like to know what any unbiased rating would be.

Lem, you ARE seeing the real ratings right here, without studio or progammers influence. Honest and for true feelings and thoughts about the programs are rare as buckteeth on geese. XD

Have you notice they ruined the show already?
They didn't want any of the SG saga's in it... but they have O'neal and etc coming and going. What happen to them trying to survive? Wouldn't it dictate common sense to bring in Daniel OR Rodney? A computer that is design by the ancients before their prime.... That is cake work for Rodney... Or the passcode is just a word puzzle for Daniel... So common would dictate to bring in the heavy guns before resorting to "noobs". But, a lass they said they where going to sever the connection between the old shows and the new. But all I see it is a huge bridge back and forth and all the drama inbetween. I seen the trailer for the next week, I don't know if it is worth watching. HOW is this show getting any ratings?

True, but they don't listen to the fans anymore (cancelling Atlantis amid public outcry). I wonder what makes the Powers that Be at NBC to say "OKAY! ENOUGH! MONEY IS BEING WASTING ON THIS JUNK. PULL THE PLUG."
We need to send lots and lots of water to the studios and get Atlantis back on the air. LOL. AC gets the meaning of the water.

Please I started to love Atlantis.... Stop reminding that it is gone, I beg. The whole connection with EARTH is a waste of time and isn't thought out right. Didn't the Asgard give the human race all their knowledge and tech? This race that can travel between two galaxies in SECONDS.... you mean they can't trace the signal of the Destiny and build the Asgard stardrive? It would take them what 8 months to Catch UP to the Destiny? FOR GOD SAKE I AM ERK! I knew the writer's had issues of leaving gaps. But I am looking at the pacfic ocean gap, they can't or will not fill cause. "they want the drama" I am minding my manners... I really want to go cuse at them!

Bunch of whiners. :) I'm kidding, don't shoot...I agree with most of what you guys have said. But I actually enjoyed this episode. It was well-written and well done. Could one of you please give one concrete reason as to why you didn't like it? And whining about how annoying the characters are doesn't count...well, I guess it does. So stop watching the show then.
And as for the 'oh no, not ANOTHER solar-flare-time-travel episode'...come on, if it was an Atlantis or SG-1 episode you wouldn't care that the particular plot device had been used before.
What's come over me? Did I just stick up for Universe? I was one of the biggest whiners to begin with...sheesh. I'm a gutless flip-flopper, I suppose.
Please don't take my comments the wrong way...I do agree that the writers don't have their heads on straight, or at least that they don't care what fans of the old show think. Which really bugs me. Grr. But I think you guys should try to find something real to complain about, not just how different it is from the 15 seasons we enjoyed before
:)

listen up, you gutless flip-flopper! XD
my reason is simple mate. it's not an original plot concept. it was introduced originally in sg1. around half way in sga. but knocking it out so early in sgu gives the impression the writers lack originality. i probably do excuse sga more readily. but only because i don't remember them repeating such a memorable concept so early in.

Why have I not stopped watching it? It is simple, I loved the other 2 shows so much that I really hope that it will improve. I want it to improve. But right now every show is boring and drab. With the exception of the gate itself it is nothing like what I would consider stargate material. It is more along the lines of BSG.
Also complaining about the characters is a valid point. The characters make the show. If you have bad characters, you have a bad show. I am not saying they are all bad. I sort of like Eli, Lt. Scott, and Col. Young. If you read all my past posts on the IOA you would know that no matter which show it was SG-1, Atlantis, or Universe, I am an avid hater of the IOA. They are the most worthless group of power hungry individuals. So not matter what happens that IOA member that is aboard that ship is always going to be annoying to me.

Who doesn't hate the IOA? :) I see where you're coming from, the characters do make the show. But one character doesn't ruin it for me like it might for someone else. I'm still gonna see where Universe goes.

Wraithicator, in the scheme of things usually, one character does not ruin a show completely. But that one character can be such a controversial agravation, it stimulates negative feedback by a shows' watchers. The character causing the feedback is still doing its job, stimulating publicity. Whether or not the character is eliminated and another possible more favoured one is placed in to the story line, the point is an interaction of any sort is elicited. The studio powers that be get the public to do the job no amount of money can do, generate interest . jmho

if that were the case, both sg1 and sga would never have been cancelled. we might also be watching that sga movie a certain brad promised a certain millions-of-fans!

On the side note; I want to see my butt kicking in this SGU! I want voilence! I know I maybe voted off the island for saying it! but still, So far we had a cripple beat-up a lying peice of dong. Then you had the last one... Where they didn't even finish the eps, they just showed it at the end" if you see this, the crippy crawllies venom is the CURE" then they kindly left it up to us to find out what happen. The next one is post to be about a murder on the ship. " I am holding some hopes! Maybe Rush will get Pimped slapped by Young"

I would say I want "violence" but even just some general action sequences would be nice.
AC'S Mom

I agree on the action needs. All that had been done is a lot of jaw flexing and tongue flapping. Lets get to a little action here. If I had wanted to watch a cross of Amazing Race and Surviour, I would wear out my remote switching between two channels. Both those shows have alot of jaw flexing and need to get there and survive... sounds like SG U? :hmm:
