Ok, Does anyone else wonder who or what owns that ship at the end?!!

This episodes reminds me of Stargate at the beginning with the Abados desert...only this desert had a non-human life form, but still a life form non-the-less. On a very basic level that life form understood exactly why this strange bi-pedal (bag of water) life form was there.

Eli so annoyed me most of the episode. That Planet of the Apes reference...:cb2

But showed his strength with trusting Rush when he stuck his arm in the event horizon. Humm, Reminds me of O'Neill when he said he was, 'keeping the Door open'. (Anyone want to help me on the name of the SG-1 episode they can)

Still like Rush...Favourite character thus far. :D

Rush to me, was annoying, Eli was just trying to be the comic relief. The differen't life form was great to watch. Third eps. and so far it has made bad marks on me. Ex-govner wife was pain to watch, she doesn't get her way she is going to spill everything? Blackmailing the government? Riiight, that was done before and it turn out against them.

Okay, it was painful to me to keep falling asleep during this episode. Not that it was boring, quite the contrary, but I was exhausted.

I could pull my hair out too because I was quite intrigued. So, I need to catch a rerun or something.

In the meantime, I am begining to think this show has a lot of promise, despite me wondering how the ship at the end could leave and depart in the middle of a jump (I'm assuming they were in the middle of a jump). I was also wondering really could sticking your arm through the event horizon could prevent the jump. Really, why not do that every time then.

Arm through the gate... perhaps a special precaution for that ship only, due to it's mission.
The little leeching ship reminded me of something the Suliban (Star Trek) would do. Speaking of which, anyone else think the Suliban look much like the Taelons from Earth: Final Conflict?

Very slow episode, I thought, even back on Earth! Found out afterwards that the off-world scenes were filmed at White Sands Missile Range - who poignantly describe themselves as being the "Birthplace of America's Missile and Space Activity."

I know we're only 3 eps in, and I have to expect it to be slow-going right now because they need to establish themselves. I'll admit I'm intrigued. But not as much as I thought I would be. Maybe when they make first contact proper (humanoid), my interest will pick up more.

My brother is stationed there right now and he loves it.

I thought it was alright. Eli was a bit annoying, and it felt a little slow. That one troublemaker soldier (forgot his name, he was in the brig at first though) is kinda irritating, though, i really hope he turns out a bit more tolerable.

I'm starting to get the idea the episode names correlate the whichever problem they're going to be fixing in the episode, these ones were air, then there's water, etc. Nice to know they're all one-ep problems, eh?

Rush is still great though.

Oh, also, Annisa T, all the episodes of SGU have been going up on Hulu.com the day after they air, I think it's probably going to be a great way for me to keep up on this. (I don't actually have cable/sattelite)

Thanks for the heads up. I'll have to check it out. I still haven't seen the first epi in its entirety.

I am really not getting into this show. Halfway through the show I started looking at my watch to see how much longer it liked. I know the show is just getting started so I am going to stay with it a little longer, but so far, I am starting to get very disappointed in this show.

Agreed...If it ended tomorrow I would not bat an eyelash.
BTW when I said Dark before I meant the way it looked not so much the story line. :D

Ugh, so many people support Rush, he is the most ennoying to me. If I was on that ship I would of killed him already! but, I like the marine kicking him around. That made me laugh alit.

I think that that marine that kicked him around is going to annoy me the second most (first being the senator's daughter). I think my favorite character will be Lt. Scott.
