Permanent Cross-Over

When SG-1 ends, do you think anyone from that show should do a permanent crossover and become a member of the Atlantis cast? If so, who?

I think the only person who makes sense for such a crossover is Daniel. Jack's been promoted to General and it makes sense that the character would be more ready to really retire than go into a dangerous unknown. And Sam's gotta end up wherever Jack is. The two can retire and have the relationship they both want. Teal'c - it just makes more sense for him to stay with his people. But Daniel wants to go to Atlantis, or did in the Altantis premiere. He's ever searching, thirsting for knowledge and truth. I think he would make a great addition to the cast as well because he's just so likable. He could maybe help soften the Atlantis cast up a bit as well.

I like the cast the way it is. I think Daniel being on SG1 for so long would take away from the cast of Atlantis.

I think that' why I like the idea of Daniel crossing over so well. I would love for him to take away from the Atlantis cast - they so get on my nerves.

However, Worf went to DS9 and I don't think he really distracted. If you have a fabulous cast, no one will truly distract from them. So if Daniel would really distract that much, it says a lot about the Altantis cast, I think.

I'm not speaking so much of the cast because although I don't like some of the characters I think they have a great group of actors.

What I'm speaking of is Michael Shanks cult following. I think the writers may start writing more for Shanks than for some of the other characters and those characters would suffer for it.
