Stargate Fan Awards Announces Winners!

I haven't actually checked much of the list, but I wanted to let everyone know that the SFA (http://www.sg-awards.com/) winner list has been posted. Congratulations to all the winners and "honorable mentions"! (If I'm remembering correctly, "honorable mention" is one vote from being the winner.)

Anyway, according to the SFA team members with whom I communicate, the next round will open in January 2010. I'll let you know as soon as that happens.

Thanks for keeping tabs on this, Robin. I had been wondering about it lately. Lost a bit of interest after they'd disallowed my Requiem piece, though.

Lisa, my best friend, won an SFA, and I was told I received an Honorable Mention. Not too shabby...I didn't recognize most of the names, either. Of course, I've only checked out the SG-1 and artwork categories so far...*grin*

I won an SFA back in 2006...which totally blew me away...to be honest, I still don't think I'm over that surprise! Then Renee, Lisa and I did pretty well at the Skiffy's last year. Sadly, they seem to be defunct now.

The whole point of being in these awards programs is to let readers know that the stories are out there. Just being on the nomination list is good enough for me! *grin*
