Cast changes for season 2

[Colonel Carter]

Rainbow Sun Francks (man his parents were cruel) who plays Lt. Ford will be reduced in status to regular recurring which means he will no longer appear in the opening credits and will not appear in many episodes.

I guess many fans have complained that he was underdeveloped. Personally, I like him better than Teyla, Sheppard, Weir, and Rodney. But that's my opinion.

Also...

Paul McGillion who plays Dr. Carson Beckett will take up his place in the starring cast.

About time, imho. Hey, lets add Beckett, keep Ford, and get rid of one of the others. :look

I think they concentrated so much on Teyla and Sheppard that they didn't develop Ford or Beckett. It's a shame that they are minimizing the roll instead of refocusing for the 2nd season.

I know what you mean. Beckett was my fav character when it came to Atlantis but Ford was a close second, they definetly focused too much on Sheppard and Teyla, I mean I loved their characters as well but they were so busy trying to give us their background that that forgot about everyone else and they have been as little lax when it came to Ford and Beckett, I suppose it was because they were not major characters as such.

I liked Beckett as well. I glad to being seeing more of him this season.
