Is Major John Sheppard Capt. James T Kirk?

He has a lot of the attitude of Kirk, and it appears he got the first girl on the show.


Personally, I love the show and the characters are great!

Hi and welcome to the board! I'm not sure he actually "got" or "has" Teyla at this point. Personally, I hope those two don't form a relationship, I think it would only complicate things. I think Rodney accused him of being like Kirk in a previous episode, the one where they found the Ancient living on that planet.

The question is, has he gotten a woman yet? They never really "verified" what happened before he came out of her room.

As far as being Kirk, no I don't really see that. I see some similiarities, that maybe the actor has used as Kirk as a reference, but I don't think the characters are really the same.
