Okay, I just have to know. Star Trek came out yesterday and despite my dismay on not being able to see it on opening day, did anyone else?
How did Paul do, how did he look?
I keep missing his little cameo's. I even missed him in 24 and Sanctuary.

Silly question perhaps, but Paul?
Movie rocked! I took my bro to see it. Not normally his scene, but even he enjoyed it - alot  Sylar was a great Spock. But then, so was Spock
Simon Pegg played a very enjoyable Scotty. He and the Doc had nearly the whole audience laughing in nearly all their scenes. Whether or not it was true to the story, I don't know. But it was very good as a standalone action sci-fi movie, and I'd have to say (judging by the packed out screens) it did a great job of introducing the new generation to Trek and sci-fi.
Most memorable moment for me would have to be the music for the epic scenes of the Academy and the space dock for the fleet. Fantastic effects, and I hope it inspires!

It was a small part indeed. He did just fine.
I am peeved he did not get a bigger part in the movie. (ST)

I am so jealous of everyone that has seen it...and my stupid small town theater is closed for a week! Grr...
I'm really looking forward to it, and McGillion's role will be cool, small as it might be. I'll be watching for him!

Ever since I heard about this film last year I have been impatiently waiting for it's release in the UK, and I have to say I am not disappointed! I even booked myself into the last seat left in the advanced screening on thursday XD
I'm not gonna say a whole lot since I don't want to give anything away for those yet to see it, but can anyone who has please help me identify some of the aliens in it!! I swear that I have never seen half of them, specifically the woman with big eyes and the little one played by Deep Roy...

Man that sucks! My mum was the one who forced me to watch Voyager when I was 6, and I seem to have inherited the sci-fi gene! XD
I guess you'll just have to wait till it comes out on DVD or go with a group of friends

Shame on you Brym! LOL just kidding. Personally, I don't think it's worth spoiling anyways, at least for me. That really sucks cM! :( Hopefully you find a way to see it.

Spock: Humans are just not logical. They become over zealous about a video epilog. Could it possibly be the strong minded influence of a Vulcan such as me? Hmmm,I must study the emotional influence of this on various species......:hmm: Personally can't wait to see it myself XD

Nice Spockism, ACM. Yeah I can't wait either...it's gonna be great!
PS Can I call you ACM? It seems a lot simpler than saying AC's Mom all the time...yeah, I know I'm lazy. :)

Spock: Again an over exuberant emotional reaction to a simple exposition of a fictional videogram. Not a reasonable reaction. (mumbles in Vulcan, complete idiots these humans) Totally illogical! There must be a program to educate humans to control their highly unstable emotional fluctuations. ... Computer show me........:thor1:

All right all of you please settle down. CM for those of you who have been around awhile, know he likes to use one word comments now and again. While, he does have a bookbag full (and trust me if you've been here long enough, we know he does), lets not let that all out of the bag AGAIN.
So, ACM, yes, he does have a bigger vocab, but doesn't usually use it. CM, I'm sure ACM was just joshing you.
Now, let's get back on topic.

CM, if I upset you I'm sorry but I was being silly. You are welcome to keep your comments short but I have been reading your posts and noticed such an improvement in your efforts to communicte. I thought WoW was such a short expression of opinion you had to have more stuffed somewhere, busting to get out. I'm a Mom, and a Grandmom so teenagers are not a new thing for me. If you felt slighted, again I apologise. Hope this fixes things for us, because you are valued for who you are and what you contribute to this site. :blush: :sigh;

I'm quite surprised I have to ask, but where was he in the film? I saw him on the 24 season finale recently... as a murderous doctor :p

He was one in the part where the cadets were getting assigned to different ships.
He was labeled... 'Barracks Officer'. A tiny part that ya blink ya miss it.

Yes, he was the one who told Kirk he couldn't get an assignment because he was on academic suspension.
I too wondered why he couldn't have a bigger part. Here is to hoping for next time.
