Out of the main cast of Atlantis, which character do you think you're the most like? The main cast being...
Elizabeth Weir
John Sheppard
Rodney McKay
Teyla
Carson Beckett
Aidan Ford (before or after his transformation)
Col. Caldwell
Ronan
I'm not really sure at the moment so I'm going to think writing outloud to figure it out. :)
Weir - I'm nothing like her. She's a strong leader, determined, goal oriented, a strong negotiator, not afraid of confrontation. She's everything I'm not.
Sheppard - I'm a little like him. I tend to have a disregard for the rules if it suits me and feel annoyed by authority when it feels overbearing and suffocating. Like him I strive for independence and that independence can make me seem like a loner, but I'm comfortable enough with myself to be that way, like he is. I've also got his knack for sarcasm and not taking things too seriously unless forced to. However, I'm not into guns or fighting.
Rodney - I'm not nearly as sarcastic as him and if we were in a competition as to who could beat the other out with sarcasm, he'd win hands down. But I'm not nearly as rude and arrogant as he is. I make an effort not to talk to people like I'm better than they are so for that, I'm really not like him. I'm also not nearly as smart.
Teyla - I'm quiet like she is but that's about it. I'm not a fighter. Wow, she doesn't seem to have a whole lot of depth. I guess she struggles with inner demons (Wraith). Something we can probably all relate to.
Beckett - I'm a lot like him too. But he's a lot nicer than I think I am. He's more quiet and I'm like that. He's a home-body, doesn't care much for going on missions and I love being home too. And if the Wraith were real, I think I'd rather stay home than explore with that danger out there.
Ford - I'm not like him. He's gun-ho, I'm not. He's also much more disciplined than I am. I'm of course talking about before his transformation.
Ronan - I've seen very little but I know I'm nothing like him. Other than being more quiet and comfortable on my own.
Caldwell - I'm nothing like him. He's a lot more like Weir who I'm nothing like.
So I'm most like Sheppard and Beckett. I would say between those two, I'm most like Sheppard. Even though I'd probably prefer staying away from danger, I'd also want to go on an adventure and the possibilities of finding cool things or people would make it worthwhile. And other than that, I find I have a lot more of Sheppard's traits. Which I didn't until I thought this through like I just did. I was going to say I was most like Beckett until I thought it through deeper. I would rather be like Beckett, just because he's so nice. I'd rather be like Weir, she's cool and calm and in control. I'd even rather be like Teyla, fierce warrior. I'm glad I'm not like Rodney, I wouldn't want to be that annoying. But I really don't want to be like Sheppard either. He's too quiet, too much of a loner, too independent, doesn't like authority. Maybe that's why Sheppard annoys me the way he does, I too closely identify with him. :shep
