Okay, everyone. I should be heading out in the AM. With any luck we will make it through the PASS (only part I'm worried about) without incident (unlike years past). However, if there is any sign of danger, I've already told the hubby we are turning around. I'm not climbing our poor car 3,000 feet up on ice. So, while I'm gone, please behave yourselves or I'll sic AC on you.......LOL!

I have a ton of errands to run in the morning and then the 2 1/2 hour drive to mom's house. I will be there until Sunday so I will be out of pocket as well.

Well, we are here. We ended up not going. Tim's mother called 30 minutes before we were suppose to leave and said the weather was horrible. And, now I'm glad we didn't go because the pass is a complete mess right now. I mean it's bad.

So, we are sitting in our house and we'll for once have a nice Christmas at home and won't be on the road. But, I think we'll head over there next month or maybe spend Spring break out there.

Either way, I hope you all are having a great and safe holiday!

Lem...have a safe trip and a Merry Christmas...

NF...we went into Lynnwood yesterday. (Btw, Hubby did GOOD!!!!!! He had two special cases made to showcase and protect the icing sculptures that Renee made for me!) The state roads were clear all the way. County roads had been plowed at least. City streets were a nightmare, but we were able to get around just fine. The Caddy kicked into 'traction control' mode several times. The Alderwood Mall was wall to wall shoppers, too.

Anyway, enjoy that quiet 'family' Christmas, I swear those are the most precious memories I have of the three of us (Hubby, Son and I).

Merry Christmas to any whom I might have missed saying it to!

Yeah, supposedly the pass wasn't terribly bad, but at the top of Snoqualamie were avalanche warnings and almost zero visibility past Ellensburg. But, we went to a nice dinner tonight and both of us got stuck in the slush tonight (we were in seperate cars, each had a kid). Apparently, there is a different technique for slush driving than snow driving....LOL!

Thank goodness it was behind the house in the alleyway. The neighbor helped us out. Then got stuck himself.........gotta love it!

I'd prefer to drive on straight snow or even ice to the slush! I think it's better that you stayed home...especially since the passes are supposed to get bad this weekend. We'll get rain. The passes will get more snow and ice. Son is planning on heading home a couple of days before he needs to be here...the 12 hour drive took him 19 hours on Sunday/Monday, and he figures if the passes in Idaho are as bad as they were going, he's going to stop in Spokane and sleep before tackling Snoqualmie.

Yep, and he bought me books...I'm such a happy camper right now...LOL!
