This story is a crossover with StarTrek Enterprise, StarGate Atlantis, and StarGate SG-1.
Disclaimer: I do not own StarTrek Enterprise or StarGate SG-1 or Atlantis. I do, however, own Natalie Camerrie.
“Trip, don’t be so negative. There’s always’ a positive side. A silver lining to every cloud; be positive.” Natalie Camerrie said. It pained her to say so, because what she really wanted to say was. “It doesn’t matter anyway Babe, they think your dead, just let it go and live your life in peace here.” But, she knew that was selfish. She wanted him to give up so he would never find his way back to his own dimension, his timeline. But she knew he had too. He had to try, or else, he would go insane. They spent most of their time aboard Enterprise. She would go up in a cloaked Puddle Jumper. What had started as an SGC assignment turned into a fascination with, not just Enterprise, but Trip himself. Which had turned into a love, a love she’d rather not admit. Because it caused her to feel guilty. Enterprise was completely technologically advanced. Even with the StarGate, Earth was no more advanced then traveling from planet to planet, and with the Deadulas and SupureGate, galaxy to galaxy. Even the Deadulas and the Jumpers (which could read your mind) seemed primitive compared to Enterprise. Enterprise was all one technology, unlike Atlantis and Deadulas with it’s mixed technology. But, then again, Enterprise was from a timeline, or dimension, that had never even heard of the StarGate. Nor about Gua’ulds, Asgard, or Wraith. Enterprise had seen and heard of planets and aliens that the StarGate program had yet to encounter. Then, there was Trip. Commander Charles ‘Trip’ Tucker III, never even heard of on Earth. But, straight out good-looking and smart. He had sacrificed his life to save the rest of Enterprises crew, only to be sent here. The overload that he had caused had sent him and a duplicate of Enterprise back in time and across a portal into another dimension of space. So, he’d had no choice but go back to Earth. When he’d gotten there, he’d been met by the Deadulas, Earth’s Asgard ship. The Deadulas contacted the SGC and reported the finding of Enterprise. All of this leading to Natalie standing here now, with Trip, trying to figure out how to send him back where he belongs. But, his spirits were falling, this idea was his last chance. Every idea he had just made him feel worse when he discovered it wouldn’t work for one reason or another. She’d tried to convince him to let Col. Samantha Carter help him. But, he’d refused, saying he’d rather figure it out on his own. But she didn’t want him too. She’d fallen in love with him. Which raised a ton of questions in her own mind. What about John? She’d agreed to merry him only weeks before Trip had showed up. The wedding was set for the next time he returned from Atlantis. She was still in love with him, but then Trip had come around and she’d fallen for him as well. Now she was confused. Then she’d found out she was pregnant. She wasn’t sure who the father was, it could be Trip or John. Probably Trip. Which caused more problems, so, she’d kept the pregnancy to herself for now. Who would’ve thought life could be so complicated? She forced herself back to the here and now and looked at Trip, who stood at a panel near the engine. “Do you think it will work?” she questioned his latest idea.
“If id doesn’t…” Trip said.
“If it doesn’t what Trip?”
“If it doesn’t, I’m as good as dead.”
“Trip? Are you saying this could be suicide?”
“Maybe, but I’ve done it before. I have to get back.”
“Yeah, you said yourself that since Enterprise, this Enterprise, is just a duplicate of the real Enterprise, that you yourself could also be a duplicate. What if you are living your life out in the right place and time?”
“I’m not.”
“How can you be so sure?”
“Because, I made love to a Vulcan women that served on our ship. She and I share this connection. I felt her grieving for me.” He paused. “That’s how I know I’m dead.” He turned and looked her in the eyes’. “Look, I know about the baby. So, this is best.”
“How do you figure?” She didn’t ask how he knew, she’d given up on figuring out how he knew things that he knew, he was a mysterious man.
“Well, with me out of the picture, rather it be through death or me going back where I belong…. There’s two way’s this could turn out…. Well, three, but we won’t talk about the third right now. First, I will never have even been here, which in turn would make it so there’s no pregnancy. Or, you could go on to live, merry John and have the kid and put Johns name on the certificate. It’s best Natalie. Believe me.” His paints were interesting. Part of her hoped for the first option. That she wouldn’t remember him at all and the baby will have never existed. Leaving her mind in a total, complete decided state. She would merry John and live with him on Atlantis. She would have never cheated on him with a man from another time and place. Trip made some adjustments to the panel and smiled at her. “You have to go now Natalie.” He hugged her and she in the Puddle Jumper.
“Goodbye Charlie.” She whispered. He hadn’t ever told her if he’d liked that nickname, but it was something for her to call him that no one else did. It was something special.
“Goodbye Nattie.” He whispered back as he ran up the stairs and out of the launch bay. She activated the ‘Jumper and the bay doors opened. She went out and the bay doors closed. Enterprise moved away. She cloaked the ‘Jumper and went into Earths atmosphere, straight to StarGate Command.
“StarGate Command, permission to enter the bay?” Natalie said into her radio.
“Permission granted. Welcome back.” The cheerful voice of Col. Sam Carter said greeted her. “Come on in.” She guided the Jumper into the bay and docked it in its place.
“Thank you Sam. I’ll be right down.”
“Thank you.” She made her way down to the briefing room. Meeting SGC commander General Hank Landry and SG-1 member and co-leader Col. Samantha Carter.
“Welcome back Natalie. You have a lot to debrief us on.” Gen. Landry said.
“Yes sir.” She said. “Would you mind if I got some sleep first?”
“Not at all, you go right ahead.”
“Thank you sir.” She said as she headed to her temporary quarters.
