Is anyone else having issues with ezboard? I click on certain categories, and where there should be topics, there are none... I was jsut wondering if it was happening to anyone else! :)

According to Ezboard the entire ezboard system was hacked into on the 31st. It is my understanding that they were trying to get into the community chests (another board I'm with lost some money, as well as others). In the process they royally screwed up the entire system.

Some boards lost all of their 2005 posts, while others are still loosing new posts.

Hope it gets resolved soon.

I don't get hackers and people who create viruses. I just don't get them. I tend to categorize them in the group of people who like to do random acts of violence and stuff like that. Sad.

Yeah I have to agree they didnt get anything realy and in the process deleated years of memorys and screwed over thousands and thousands of boards not to mention the people that post there.

Well, I've wondered what they would have done with the money. I know a few boards lost hundreds of dollars that had been donated to their community chest. I have a feeling right now it is in cyber space. I would think it would be all too easy to track where they sent the money.

And yes, I rank hackers and such right up their with vandals and thieves. Hate to generalize as I don't know any, but what they do is a crime against all the innocent people here on ezboards.

Yeah, so I saw the ezboard things at the top of the page AFTER I posted this! :) Oh, well! i'm glad I wasn't the only one annoyed by it! :)

Glad to see this board is working again. I hate this part of the year. I'm going thru Stargate withdrawl. Can not wait untill July.

As for hackers, I agree with the rest. I think it makes them feel big if they can disrupt something big. However, it sounds like this was more of a heist that went bad.
