Anyone watch battlestar Galatica?

I was wondering if anyone here watches Battlestar Galatica here. It is the most watched show on Scifi but I do not think it is as good as Stargate. Don't get me wrong a good show but not as good.

Just curious what other Stargate Fans thought of it.

Since when has it become the most watched show on Sci-Fi? Last I heard that credit belonged to Stargate SG-1.

I tried watching it last season and couldn't get through an entire episode. Too dark, both visually and story-wise. There's really no humor at all and so it seems more like a soap opera than a believable sci-fi show. When I say believable I mean it possesses elements that are true to life, at least my life, and there's a lot of humor in my life which is quite natural and not forced. SG-1 is great with humor. I can't watch a show if there isn't any humor and so Battlestar Gallactica had no appeal to me. It's kind of like one of my requirements for a husband would have to be that he can make me laugh. :) Plus I didn't like all the camera movements. They made me dizzy.

I fully agree, to dark and to complicated story lines. As for being the most watched show I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure it has been the most watched show on scifi since it's conception last year. Which I find odd because Stargate was so huge. I will search on the internet and see if I can find some facts to back up my clame.

I have found some data to prove my above statement.

Battlestar averages 2.4 Nielsen Ratings
Stargate Atlantis averages 2.2 Nielsen Ratings
Stargate SG1 averages 2.1 Nielsen Ratings

Now anything over a two is great, and I think Battlestar and Atlantis are newer shows getting new people to watch.

I still think Stargate SG1 is the best. and lets wait to see what the ratings for Battlestar and Atlantis are after 8 years.

I watch it.

Actually, I stopped watching part way through the 1st season, then watched the finale, which I thought was really good.

However, I find it sooooooooooooo dark.

But, that said, I did like the 2nd season premiere, so I'm back to watching it. Thye clarified a bit and made a few other things a little more interesting.

That sounds just like me. I watched the mini series and liked it. I then started to watch the series from the beginning and it was good. However by the middle of the season I stopped watching. To dark for me, and it conflicted with Monk (great show if anyone is interested). However I watched the finally and enjoyed it and watched the premier of season two and thought that was really good. I will give it a try again, but do not have high hopes.
