Hey guys,
Just toying around with photoshop a bit, I'm moddifing a sniper rifle a bit to my personal taste.
This is the stock version of the Steyr Arms SGG (Scharfschützengewehr) 04:

I think it can do with a better bi-pot, so I picked my favorite sniper rifle, the M40A3 and took it's bi-pot from this picture by DogFight Ink:

After some surgery, it fitted nicely on my SSG:

Next up is the scope,
I first wanted to take the Schmidt & Bender of a M40A3, but I couldn't find a good picture.
Next I tried to get a good shot of a M3A (from the M24 SWS), but that just didn't match the rifle s design.
So, finnally I found this:

A Accuracy International Artic Warfare sniper rifle, with a scope perfect for my SSG.
Some 30 minutes later:

As you can see I kept the turrets of the old scope, because they looked better.
Now that the rifle was complete, it could use a paint job.
My first attempt at camouflage:

Slight problem was that I kinda screwed up the trigger guard and muzzle break....

Of course, I fixed that and also expanded the camo pattern a little.
Now that I edit this post, I see the scope and bipot aren't sufficently camouflaged. I'll fix that later today, when I make dessert and artic warfare versions of the rifle.
1 month later:
I got bored, so I was messing around with photobucket a bit and....well:

It's more like unreal war-paint than Snow camo but I kinda like it :p
Grtz,
Dev
