Probably one of my favourite races. I like they're culture and I particularly like Lya's character and how she interacts with SG-1.

I was always hoping for an episode or a flashback or something where we saw the interactions of the Nox between the other three races (or just the Ancients and Asgard since the writers never actually formulated what a Furling is).

Yeah, that would've been cool.

They're an ok race, though they're a bit to "hippie alike" for my taste :p

I think it's cool that they can be so advanced and yet you wouldn't think for one second that they were.

I think that was one of their best strengths. The illusion of not being or having anything worth fighting over, many an enemy probably wouldn't even bother with them.

Although, I can't remember from the initial epi with them if it was mentioned. Why those few Nox were not in the city with the rest of the Nox. Also, does anyone have any idea how old Lya was?

I'll have to look and see if I can find any mention of how old Lya was.

Those few Nox weren't in the city because they chose to live in the forest...although for all we know, they were on vacation!

I always had the feeling that the Nox were far more powerful than they let on (technologically speaking). We also know that while being very passive...the Nox had their own ways of dealing with aggressors.

Lya also helped in a rather unique way in "Pretense", when she hid one of the Tollan cannons, so that Teal'c could fire it and bring down the Goa'uld mothership that was attacking the planet.

I believe that the Nox, who were a part of the four ancient races (The Ancients, the Nox, the Asgard and the Furlings) are more protectors than warriors. There is a difference...and they walk that line very carefully.

I never understood why the Asgard didn't ask the Nox for help. It was painly obivous that they were increditable advance, By the looks of things they passed the Ancient tech. They can't consider the Asgard as children..... So why didn't they help? I wish they had one Eps. that Explain what happen to the Alliance.... Why did the Ancient not help them? Why are the Nox's so block away. What is a Furrling? I wouldn't of called it a Alliance if my allies just sit there and watch me die.
