Actually I think I liked Robert better as the Holo Doctor on Voyager.

I agree with dev. Not sure how much I'm going to like the character Woolsey as head of Atlantis.

Part of the reason that Atlantis never 'hooked' me is because I just couldn't see the Pentagon putting a civilian in charge of such an expedition...and regardless of whatever else was going on politically at the time, the SGC IS a military operation, and IS operated by the Pentagon. Putting Woolsey in charge is even more ridiculous than having Weir. (And I personally preferred the FIRST Weir.)

But, this is the same group that killed Stargate SG-1. Can't expect better of them! (Oops...did I say that out loud? *wicked grin*)

For the record did not like the first blond Weir (Keep those comments so myself)...The second one fit the roll perfectly.

As for Woolsey...ya never know...he might surprise ya or send it sailing down the proverbial creek...who knows.

And Robin, this is the Pentagon we're talking about on a Sci-fi show...anything can happen. You know that. The rules on there are never the same as in real life. Even if they do base it very loosely on real life.

Wanted to clarify that I like the actor Picardo, however I don't think the character will fit. He is to much of a wimp for that position. But then again like ac said, it may turn out to be ok. Maybe this will cause some testy situations between personel and make for some interesting tv.

IMHO this is going to be a disaster. That man is a first class wimp. I hope I am wrong. I really do. And if I am I will admit it, but I have a feeling this is going to go bad. Shepheard and Ronon are going to throw up.

I personally think Rodney is being groomed for the job. He's got great technical abilities, and he is steadily increasing his expeditionary experience. Further down the road, he'd make an excellent expedition leader.

As for Woolsey, well, I think he'll do fine. But not before Sheppard and Ronon break him in.

Truth and my opinion I never really liked Woolsey but we he and Jack O'Neill were mixed together it was awesome. Well, the actor, Picardo, is on a short footage from MGM as he talks about his character.
