I wouldn't say evil. I see a distinct drive for survival of their people. However, you have to ask what would you do and how far would you go to save your people and do you sacrifice other people to meet that goal? I think that may have been the issue with the Genii.

I would not call them evil. I think I would say they were more along the lines of paranoid and irrational.

But on topic. The Genii aren't evil, well Kolya is, their just very driven on survival.
