Just a reminder that voting is open for the Skiffy Awards. There are a lot of great stories over there...so be sure to take the time to check them out, and take a moment or two to register and vote...if you like a story, let the author know by casting a vote for him/her!

I went in today to check the stats. I see what you mean. Same 5-6 votes across the line for every category nominated. That's really unfortunate. To me it says that they are just a few friends going through each cat and voting and not actual fans/readers voting for their favorite story.

Oh, I meant to ask, is it authorized for me to put the link on my myspace page. There are a few stories I've come across that I am definately going to read (time willing). But, I thought I'd put up the link for my friends and families. Even if they don't vote, they can peruse the nominees and find some good reading material instead of me trying to track down and post all the websites.

As far as I know it is...I received an email from Techie (well, all forum members did...*grin*) asking us to get out there and let folks know about the Skiffy's...so by all means, do so!

Got it linked. Took me a minute to figure it out on myspace (why they can't have cut and paste is beyond me....LOL), but finally figured it out.

That is so awesome, NF! Thanks! I know that Techie will be thrilled to know that news about the Skiffy's is 'getting out there'!

Sorry cM...because of the adult content of the stories, no one under 18 is allowed to join the forum and vote.

Thanks, cM. Last time I checked, it wasn't looking good for me. Lisa and Renee are ahead in a couple of the subcategories, though, so that's a very good thing!

I happen to agree. Too bad there aren't very many people voting, let alone for you. You really do deserve it......you write and collaborate so much better than some of the other people up for the vote.

Just a final reminder that voting for the Skiffy Awards closes on June 30th. The stories will still be available on the nominee archive lists...however, showing your support to the authors is always appreciated!

There are some terrific Atlantis stories, as well as great SG-1 stories, so be sure to check it out!

Great! That's really the best part of the awards, finding those good stories to enjoy!

I'm heading back into the gym sometime this week, so I'm gonna have to print up a couple more chapters of yours. Which one to choose.....hmmm.....bet you didn't know. Whenever I treadmill, I read your stories.

That is too awesome! I have a couple of readers who do frequent flying for their jobs, and they print out a story or two to take along for the flight. Which totally blows me away!

LOL!

If I didn't, I'd be bored out of my mind. Plus, in my gym the mags won't sit up right anyway.....LMAO.

How do you do that?
I always listen to music on the treadmill, cause I'd have to slow down to be able to read books or magazines....

Because of my back and knees, I cannot currently run on the treadmill. So, I'm walking, which aids in the ability to read. I play music too!

LOL!

I'm hoping to build momentum. I'm bound and determined to one day walk/run a marathon. I've already done 1/2 marathon. Then, after that, I'm hoping to walk the 3 day BCA walk (60 miles).

Robin K

You'll do it, NF!

I have a friend who walks marathons, and she loves it!

Voting for Skiffy's Round 1 ends on June 30, at midnight CST (that's US time). Nominations are open for Round 2, so if there's a story/an author that you like that you didn't find on the nomination list in the first round, head on over and nominate them!
