I think getting rid of him as early in the series as they did was a huge mistake. With the exception of Salmak, he was the only decent Tok'ra. One that was reasonable and didn't have that high and mighty complex that a lot of the Tok'ra have.

Funny isn't it. The Tok'ra say they oppose the Gou'uld in everyway, but they have that same arrogance about them that the Gou'uld have. Both races think they are superior to humans. Martouf was one of the few that was not that way. Yes, Lantash lashed out a couple of times, but I believe that deep down he was a symbiote that could be trusted.

Not to mention that JR is a great actor, and he brought a lot to the show. I loved the potential for a relationship between him and Sam. Of course, when the writers went stupid and started shoving the Sam/Jack thing down our throats (not that I think Sam and Jack shouldn't be together, I think they should...but for nearly a full season that's all every episode was, those two lusting after each other!) Anyway...they had to kill Martouf off, otherwise there was the chance that the fans would start clamoring to see them together, since Jack and Sam couldn't get past the military regs thing. JMHO.

I liked him in the begining and the end, but I was very angry with the character in Jolinar's memories.

JR Bourne as an actor, I like him a lot. I have seen him in several other pieces of work here and there. I think he would make a very good bad guy.......

I saw him in a movie (I think it was one of those Lifetime movies) where he was a bad guy.

I saw him in a SciFi movie. I wouldn't say he was the "bad guy" as opposed to playing a little bit of an unsavory character.

I loved Martouf. Sam and Martouf's chemestry was awesome. Though it does freak me out a little when I see JR in press conferences now and he has that huge tan still.

Up until about a month ago, when I got the season two box set, I didn't even know Martouf/Lantash exsisted. But, since then, I've been obsessed. So, I wanted to buy the third season on box DVD... But the store didnt have it so I settled for season four. And cried my eyes out when I saw Divide and Conquer. Which prompted me to write the fanfic Tok'Ra, Za'tark, and Sarah Malone. Now I want to find Seasons three, five, and nine as I have heard that he is in five and nine. So, I'll get them sometime.

Has anyone ever noticed JR's wonderful blue eye's? I could get lost in them for days... years... mallinia...
