Im new here, Im hoping to also come here more often.

Anyways, im just gonna rant. So... delete this if its against any rules :p

I actualy started watching this series... around season 6 or 7. It was my brother who was in to it, I thought, hilariously, that the show was a joke. buut, I watched a few episodes with him, and found myself trapped.

He got season 8 for the DVD on his birthday. obviously, I watched it all. I missed most of the next season, and while I liked the show, didnt know enough to watch it all the time.

One day in the summer, before season 2 of atlantis started, I snuck downstairs to the basement to, well, play some games. Amazingly, on Sci-Fi, was the entire season 1, as a kickoff for season 2.

And there I was hooked. I bought season 1, watch ALL of the newest season of both series, watch stargate monday and everyday whenever, and I love it.

I'm fairly new to Stargate too, Season Eight had finished up on Sky One a good few months before my best friend got me to watch the movie and then some episodes he had from Season One - 'The Enemy Within' was the first episode I ever saw.

I've been hooked ever since.

I got into the show oh probably a little more than a year and a half ago. A little longer than I've had my web site. I was eating dinner one night and flipping channels and SG-1 was on and I'd heard about it but never actually watched it so I though, why not? So I sat there and watched the rest of that episode - don't have a clue which one it was. And slowly began watching the show more and more finding that it was a very good show.

I started watching SG1 around season 5 (I think). Had no idea it existed before it moved to SciFi. But, I too try never to miss an episode.

I started watching it about a year ago. My sister liked it and was taping it. The first episode I watched was "Proving Ground" because it looked interesting. Then I watched random episodes with her. I have to say that season two is the best season.

As for me, I started watching sometime between the first and second halves of Season 6 (the one with Jonas) aired on the Scifi channel. Since then I've bought every season on DVD, including Atlantis, and I watch the new episodes every week.

Yeah... The movie was suprisingly... bad. :p

I did not like it much. The series just kills it in comparison :p

Its too bad oneil left, jonas was pretty cool as well.

I think the movie rocks, I love the movie. I would not have had the slightest interest I think in the show if I hadn't of seen the movie years ago and liked it as much as I did.

The only thing about the movie I didn't like was the disappearing helmets. It was and still is illogical to me for that much something to turn into nothing. Not to mention they look totally impractical for combat.

I started watching Stargate SG1 durring the first half of season 6, and was hooked right away. I was tied to the tv every monday night catching up on old episodes. However, that still was not enough, so I started buying the seasons on dvd and now own the first seven sg1 seasons and the first atlantis season. I still can not get enough stargate. I love the show.

I'm new here too, but was a member or another board devoted to Stargate that folded. I started watching Stargate from the very first season when it was on Showtime. I have missed a few seasons and episodes due to unforseen circumstances but all in all I love the show from beginning to present. (Except the Jonus episodes, never liked him always thought it was mistake when they had killed Daniel off and replaced him with Jonus, glad that fixed that.)
