Alright, Ba'al is I am pretty sure the most enigmatic System Lord out there.
Like who would ever think of replicating them selves in-numerable amout of times to display his show of power?

The man who braught this character to life is Cliff Simon.

I won't be there because I do primarily Klingon that weekend, but my awesome SGA friends will be and just tell them that you know me and they will welcome you with open arms! As much as I root for the good guys, I can't help rooting for Ba'al too. Just wish he was on SGC's side. Cliff Simon plays that character to perfection. Not only is he nasty bad, he is charasmatic, he is edgy, he is sexy, he is coniving (sp??). I love his smirks (all of them).

Ba'al is the epitome of a Goa'uld System Lord, and he's actually the only one that we have gotten acquainted with. There was Apophis, but he was never the charismatic enemy that Ba'al is. Also, there's a totally different reason for the team to hate Ba'al...Apophis was primarily Daniel's enemy. (Not saying that the rest of SG-1 didn't hate him just as much!) The show really only dealt with the hate relationship between Apophis and Daniel, it never really delved into any other aspects of Apophis' psyche. I think one of my favorite episodes was when Ba'al was working with Sam and Jacob/Selmak to use the Ancient weapon to destroy the Replicators. He was so smug...behaving as if he knew exactly what he was doing, when he was actually rather clueless! Yep, Ba'al is my absolute favorite bad guy. Doesn't hurt that he's sooooooooooooooooooo easy on the eyes..:wink:

Ba'al is one of my favourite bad guys. This is partly because of the character development he brings to Jack O'Neill's character throughout the show (starting from Abyss to when he is General).

The only thing that I used to go "erm" about was when he cloned himself a bagillion times. Yes, it was brilliant, but as an audience member, I no longer feared his death and when he died, I always went 'oh, well there's another one out there, so it's no big deal.'
