Does anyone know if they ever mention what she named the dog Jack gave her?

I don't know that they ever mentioned it. But, I'd have to watch the epi again. I think Jack may have "suggested" a name.

But, it's funny you even brought her up because I was just thinking how they really kicked her character to the curb by not mentioning her at the end of the show.

Well, they did mention her in season 9. When Amanda Tapping was away having a baby, when she came back, she mentioned that Sam had taken a job in Area 51 to be closer to Cassandra as she was "going through a rough time." She'd be 18 by then and it's implied she's living on her own.

Yeah, but that is not the same as having her do even a quick guest spot or to mention well she's off to collage or something.
