Holy wow! :yea: This epi looks great. And is that Halling with the short hair? (sp?) (Looks like he just stepped off the set of Smallville.)
Anyhoo, got the scoop on this epi. last night from Lem. (thank you verra much Lemuria) It sounds so sad. Poor Carson,:cb3 clone or not.:cry::cry:
And the way his friends reacted including Ronon, Rodney and Shep.....*sniff, sniff*
I can not wait to see it. :D:wink:

Oh my, I cannot believe it. Was Ronon really gonna cry?
Great epi. Thought it was slow in the begining, but about 1/3rd of the way through, I was so into it. I do feel for Carson. Although, I have to say, what a great storyline for having someone who died, still leaving the door open to be part of the regular cast down the road if they decide to. Awesome!

I think he was. I love a man that can show his soft side.
I loved this ep. This was by far one of my most favorite eps of the whole series.

Yeah I noticed that Ronon got a bit emotional. Which was surprising since I thought that Rodney would be. I think he was, but he wouldn't keep quiet long enough!

Since the tau'ri have the knowledge of the asgard from unending can't they just reproduce the same technology they used to move a conscience mind from a dieing body into a new body? I mean they could save Carson (the clone) from death by just making a new slate clone and moving his mind. THey have his DNA (before cloning) on record so no transfered wrtaith illness or problems and he won't have a problem like the asgard because they cloned themselves over thousands of years and they got that problem. No cell degeneratrion and the such. It's alot easier and quicker and safer than trying to find a cure and getting it right or wrong. Just move this mind else where :shug:

While that might seem like a good idea, the Asgard never perfected it and I think the whole deal with cloning in general is something we as humans are still not generally comfortable with. I mean, they had a hard time with the cloned Carson already, you know? Plus, since the midway station is blown up now, they would have to wait until the Daedalus came or use power from the ZPM to contact Earth - both not very viable options at this moment. You have to also understand it too Sam a lifetime to understand everything in the Aagard database... the knowledge that she lost when they reversed time. So it would take them another life time to actually understand how to use the technology.
The problem the writers will get into as well is that how can they kill off other people and bring suspense and emotions into the episodes if they establish that this technology exists and is usable? It's the same reason they made the Sarcophagus' have bad mojo - so you couldn't just pop the team member in and *poof* all better. We, as the audience, need that mortality factor to keep us on the edge of our seats. If we know they're invincible, we don't care as much.
On a side note, anyone else catch the nod to David Hewlett's movie?
