He is one of those actors that just leaves an impression on your mind. Some actors can leave one show and do another and you don't worry about what they use to do. RDA is the same way, good actor but still, sometimes when the SG-1 group is in trouble, I just...want to see him make a radio out of a straw and some dental floss....anyone agree?

Seriously though, I love his character on the show. Witty, cocky, and yet with a heart full of gold. have only watched the eppisodes on Sci Fi for a couple months now and am still trying to learn what i can about it. But I think my favorite episode of him is when they visit with the world where the people only live a few days and one marries him and he starts to age. I thought it was quite interesting how he coped with everything.

Are Jack and MacGyver really all that different personality wise? Excluding that one hated guns and the other loves them.

In season 1, I really liked his performance in Cold Lazarus. Cold Lazarus showed me that he is in fact a highly talented actor who can play very diverse characters.

I think you are right. they kinda are the same. Though I often attributed it to one had a mullet and the other didn't....either way their hair is kind of bad. lol

I so love both of these characters!!!! Jack is probably my favorite of the two, though! He's sarcastic, and funny, but would do anything to keep the people he loves out of danger, if possible! That is just great! And I ahve to admit, the mullet needed to go! :)

I don't know if I like MacGyver or Jack better. I'd probably have to see more episodes of MacGyver. But from what I've seen, I think I like Jack better. MacGyver didn't seem to have such a consistent, rolling sense of humor like Jack. Of course I think he's cuter as MacGyver because he's closer to my age in that. :p

I really liked Cold Lazarus. That episode and also The Broca Divide showed me how good an actor he is and how he can play diverse roles. There are several actors who can't seem to play more than one type of character/personality. Such as Will Smith, George Clooney, Tommy Lee Jones, Robin Williams. No matter what movie they're in, they play the same kind of guy it seems. From what I've seen, Anderson is a much more talented actor who can portray different people without making you feel he's just like another role he played.

I wish Jack and Sara would get back together.

Yeah, Jack just cracks me up! He is so funny! And I swear, at least three of four times, I'll be watching a newer show, say something sarcastic about the situation or something, and sure enough, Jack goes and says the exact same thing! It's just funny to me! :) (or, I'm jsut that sad, one of the two... :rollin )

As for the age thing, well, Daniel is more my speed! I need to find a guy that's a cross between Jack and Daniel and I'll be happy! :tgrin but that is a whole nother topic! :p

Yeah, He is a really good actor, though! I mean, I can't think of many actors that can work on two COMPLETELY different shows, in completely different decades, and still have them both be such big hits! And the funny thing is, I've read online a while ago, that when he shows up on set, he is really like Jack in real life! Same sarcasim, same sense of humor, same sense of getting a job done! I think that's pretty cool!

But, I really wish him and Sam would get together!!! They are so cute together!!! :tgrin

I found it hilarious when he and Teal'c had switched bodies in "Holiday"...watching Jack be the stoic Jaffa just cracked me up. We also got to see Chris Judge show off his abilities as well.

Oh, ya got that right. Jack in Teal'cs body...now would he be considered the straight man...(as in comedy)LOL
