Okay, just to balance the thread about Amanda. . .

Michael Shanks is just too hot. Seriously. He doesn't look geeky enough to be Daniel in my opinion. The actor in the movie I think looked more the part. Shanks is way too buff.

But I don't mind Michael Shanks playing Daniel. Nice eye candy. Very, very good looking. Oh yeah.

Man, when he came back to the show with his hair short.....I think I had to pick up my eyeballs off the ground. I like him so much better with short hair. Wish they would give his character contacts though. I've always hated the glasses. He actually looks very good without them.

And yes, the buffness helps.

Definitely!!!!! I mean, watching the first few seasons, before he started getting all built and stuff, he was cute there, but a little geeky... :yes But man, now that he's all cut, and the short hair and all... :wave WOW!!!! When he came back like that I think I had to pick my jaw up off the floor and put my eyes back in my head! :whoa :eek :tgrin After he came back like that was when I started having some SERIOUS issuse on who was hotter, Jack or Daniel... I'm STILL having issues with that! :tgrin

RDA's nice looking, a bit too old for me. Cuter, I think, in his younger days as MacGyver. To me personally, I don't think he was ever as hot as Mikey.

Personally, I like Daniel better with the longer hair and glasses. I think he's hotter that way. :p So I have a soft spot for gorgeous geeks. 8)

I agree. When I first started watching the show, it was the earlier eppys with him in the glasses and the long hair and I love long hair on guys. Then I saw the movie and thought (though he is too…buff for the role, he still does a very good job) then he got his haircut, I was disappointed.

I liked the long hair, that ‘look’ is what gives Daniel character. Made him different from all the other ‘heroes’ on shows. But the new look is still fine for me because, like I said in another thread, I like the development of Daniel from his geeky start to what he is now. He gained more confidence, a sort of self-independence. He looks good and despite the change in the character’s appearance, it fit the show. But I do agree, he needs contacts, the old Daniel looked good in the glasses but if his look is going to change, I would change the glasses as well. So, in my opinion, over all, Daniel is a hotty but I still wish he had his old look.

Also, another character trait. I miss the sneezing. I thought that was just great. It gave the character a quirk, like O’neal’s sarcasm, Tea’lc’s confused expressions when didn’t understand an earth custom. I wish they had kept that in the show. But I guess it would have gotten annoying after a while. But at the same time, I doubt allergies just go away.

Goodness, I hope I am not shrinking...that wouldn't be good. But it DOES look like I am dissapearing since one of my images isn't working. Sorry to joke, but that is weird. I wonder why it has the change. Computer clitch I guess.
