I've often thought that Rodney gets too much air time, but I have to say the writers do really good when they do episodes with his sister (McKay and Mrs. Miller (http://www.gateworld.net/atlantis/s3/308.shtml)). They interact so well together. I suppose it could be because they are siblings in the real world.
Either way, I liked the episode. There were several small things that made me chuckle, as opposed to me being attracted to the bigger story (which was good too). I was reminded that they were brother and sister when she told him not to be an idiot. Reminded me of a couple times Rodney, in not so many words, has said the same thing to other people.
Interesting about this episode is I had empathy for almost all the characters invovled, be they good or bad. I felt horrible for Wallace. As a parent, I could only imagine what that feels like to be loosing a child. However, I don't think it excuses his behavior. I also felt bad for Rodney, Jeannie and Kaleb (love that name BTW). Oh, I was really suprised that Shepp asked Wallace to sacrifice himself. He seemed really bothered about the idea, so I'm not sure why he went ahead with it. I suppose it could have been his soft spot for Rodney (:thanx:).
I also really enjoyed seeing Ronan in "normal clothes". JM looked hot. It was very nice to see Malcolm Barrett and Walter Harriman again. I was so amused by the scene in the cafeteria with Ronan and Walter.
One thing I'm wondering though. Why Wallace had to even inject Jeannie. I mean, he could have faked it. They probably wouldn't have know for sure for awhile anyway. Of course, I could be wrong since I have missed a few episodes in regards to the nano technology. My only thought is that they (PTB) want to create a storyline for down the road "if" they need it in the future.

I loved this episode. I almost died laughing at the scene in the mess hall where Walter was telling Ronan about his Bingo night. LOL. Ronan had that blank stare as if to saying "God help me" XD He did look good in those jeans and white shirt.
I was shocked as well that Shephard went down that road with Wallace. That was not like him to do that. It was also weird seeing a Wraith in the SGC.:huh1:

It was weird for me not to see any of the regular cast (save Walter) at the SGC. Not even General Landry.

To me the SGC did not look the same. The gate room and control room looked a little bare. I find it strange that there was 3 key people from Atlantis showing up plus a wraith and the commander of the SGC was not there. Plus the mess hall looked a little different.

Plus the mess hall looked a little different.
It looked really closed in. In Stargate SG1 is was always kind of open, like a real dining facility. I've been in some very tiny dining facilities that were still pretty open.
Well, wait, I take that back. Tim's eating area at the Pentagon is pretty closed in, but it has more to do with the location. They had to stick it in a corner, which caused the shape to look like an S. So, each section feels almost clausterphobic (sp??).

I think it was totally IN character for Sheppard to sacrifice the guy. It's not that he liked it or wanted to do it, but he was -forced- to do it. He saw the pain that it was cauing McKay and he wasn't going to let McKay do it and on top of that it's not like Jeannie knew what was happening at the time. John made a difficult decission that he has to deal with. Just like Jack did when he chose to close the Iris when he knew that Hitler-esque guy was coming through the stargate with them. It showed Sheppard's loyalty to the team and how he cares for its members.
